Now I have a question. I'm sitting on about 6.85 million in gold (finished the goblin attacks). I have one X Bow still at level 2, and I have one Inferno Tower still at level 1.

Do I spend the 6.5 million to upgrade the Inferno Tower to level 2, or do I hold out for another 150K and upgrade the X Bow to level 3?

i'd go with the bow, can't go wrong either way though.

I would max out walls at every town hall up to the getting dark purple walls (TH7 I believe). After TH7 you start getting less loot from lower town halls, so take advantage of the easy money while you are down there.
I have about 75% dark purple walls and 25% 'skull' walls...I don't see my self going past all skull walls (those are $500k per wall).

You're definitely going to want to move past gold and I would say at the very least eventually get all dark purple. Once you get to the higher levels, while you do see some dragons and balloons, you also see a ton of lvl 6 giants and gowipe/gowiwi strategy, so the higher the better with wall level.

I'm currently doing a lot of high elixir upgrades, so I've had extra gold, which I've poured into walls...My reasoning being that I'm getting better walls, and I'm a less attractive target since people will get minimal gold from me if I keep the storages empty.

I'm sitting on 79k dark elixir right now, I have lvl 6 barbs finishing in 3 days, then I can start my lvl 2 witches, which cost 75K de, so I'm riding all my shields right now, and luckily I've been sniped every time for the last 2-3 days.

Upgrade the walls.

I've found that now that hogs are nerfed, these strategies, along with dragons, are what we are seeing in wars the most.

They take some skill and practice, but they are sweet once you get the hang of it.

There are some good youtube vids to show you how it's done. I'm focusing on witch/golem/pekka upgrades in my lab for the next month or two...

I was someone who maxed every town hall, but when I was getting near the end of TH8, I upgraded early.

TH9 is so sweet...You get Xbows on defense, more walls and more defense in general...I was getting rolled for 100% by high levels at TH8, not once at TH9.

You also get 220 army camp space, 4 spells instead of 3, and 30 capacity in your clan castle.

I waited until I had all my lab upgrades I wanted maxed, I had 90% of defenses maxed, and my walls were all purple and only like 20-30 skulls.

I would go up a little early if I were you...TH9 is fun...just not too early.

I'm pretty close. The only thing really lacking are my wizard towers. I was so hooked on this game at first, then took about 6 months off, now hooked even more. Lvl dragons were a game changer.


I might drop a $20 on the game and start some major upgradez!

What do you mean "nerfed?" They still seem to be doing pretty well.

Big bombs now do double damage to hogs, so they are still viable in compact bases where there are few spots for double big bombs to be hiding....before, you could easily level any and every base with mass hogs and heals, now you have too be very selective on what bases to use hogs against.

Ah, yeah. I read about that in the updates, but I must not have noticed the proper use of big bombs since then, as mass hogs have still been working relatively well.

It would seem that the best idea would be to put big bombs amid several defenses. Since hogs stop to attack defenses, they'll be around it long enough to get hit by it. Otherwise, it seems like they'd just be too fast to take much damage.

Yeah, there are "anti hog" style bases, which created a big ring of defenses around the base, and along that path that the hogs will take there are spring traps and double big bombs along the way. One I used for a bit is called "ringus", it's still a good base in general even if hogs aren't quite as prevalent now.

I starting pushing to masters league last night, going to try to finish it up tonight and get my 1,000 gems.

I started the day yesterday at around 2,320 trophies, then did 2 straight 2 hour boosts at night while watching TV...I boosted 3 barracks, archer queen, and spell factory twice, so it cost me 100 gems. Going to do the same tonight, so it looks like I'll be spending 150-200 gems to get the 1,000 and get that achievement out of the way.

I'm sitting at 2,498 right now....Hoping that I can clear the last 100 in 2-3 hours tonight, but it's getting tough up here in the 2500 range...Using balloonion strategy and attacking every 15-20 minutes.

Almost to TH8! And...finally got my dragon capability.

I hope to start being better now. Strengthening everything.

That info came out awhile ago and was proven to be fan made, unless this is something even newer...This was like 4 months ago or so I think.




I made it to the master league last night..I went from 2530 to around 2605 in about 1.5 hours with all barracks boosted, spells boosted, queen boosted...

So, for the investment of 160 gems over 2 nights I got the achievement and 1,000 gems. Now I get to collector raid all the way back down to around 2100 trophies, where I will stay. DE collector raids of about 3K-5K per raid is very doable on the way down, they are everywhere.

Where is the Yeti?

This is a discount on boosting mines/drill/collectors.

Depending on your level, you probably have 6 gold mines, 6 elixir collectors, and maybe 1, 2, or 3 dark elixir drills.

You can boost each one of those, which will last for a whole week, and it will double the production of those resources.

For example, say you have all level 10 elixir collectors, those usually produce 2,500 per hour...IF you boost them, they will now produce double, so 5,000 per hour. Boosting a level 10 elixir collector has a normal cost of 9 gems per day, so you would only spending 1 gem for the entire week.

Whenever this happens (rarely), it's a good deal and everyone should just boost them all. So just click on all of your resource producing things and boost them for 1 gem, then get on periodically to move it to storage because they will fill twice as fast.


if this came about one week later I'd be able to boost 2 level 6 DE drills, which would bring in 9,600 DE per day...damn, too bad they are both upgrading to level 6 right now.
