Buckeyes have to beat Sparty to crack the Top 10 and be taken seriously.

Including Duke, who would need to win out and beat FSU to get to 12-1, we basically have 16 teams (the top 15 and Duke) with any chance at the playoff.

Given their remaining schedules, I think it's fair to say that both LSU and Ole Miss could possibly get there with 2 losses if the right teams lose ahead of them.

The good news, next week we have OSU/MSU, ND/ASU, BAMA/LSU, KSU/TCU all playing each other, with Baylor and Oregon facing teams who could potentially beat them.

He should be stripped of his voting privileges....that was before I even saw that he dropped OSU from 13 to 23

Arizona State jumps 8 and LSU jumps 6?

The OSU writer for the Plain Dealer has had some massively fucked up submissions in the past years as well. Not always, but every so often he goes off the reservation about this bad too

Pretty sad that OSU is behind a 2-loss team. Ole Miss is GARBAGE.

It's hard to say there are 9 spots between Auburn and Ole Miss. Literally, 1/10th of a yard. That's what makes the polls difficult. Same for Notre Dame and FSU.

Perhaps a system predicated on conference champions is the better system. Polls are subjective as hell and entirely worthless.

Even better, scrap conferences, make who you play MATTER. It's never going to happen though. Conference brands have too much money at stake. The more this year plays out and it seems that we're going to have some subjective decisions outside of #1 (FSU probably goes unbeaten), we need an 8-team playoff with 5 auto bids (SEC, B1G, BIG 12, PAC 12, ACC) and 3 wild cards. Use a committee or a formula to select the final 3 at-large. Personally, I'd love to see a non-BCS bid included (as long as they fit a criteria like top 20 and unbeaten) as well. For instance, right now, it would be...

1. Mississippi State (SEC)
2. Florida State (ACC)
3. Oregon (PAC 12)
4. TCU (BIG XII)
5. Michigan State (B1G)
6. Alabama (at-large)
7. Notre Dame (at-large)
8. Marshall (non-big 5 at-large)

Talk about a crazy amount of hype for that tournament.

There's some allegations floating around out there regarding Jameis Winston being involved in point shaving...specifically against Louisville.
