Game would be over had TCU not snapped the ball with 5 seconds and 4 seconds

A&M or Oklahoma. Crunch the numbers. One of them will still be in the top 10...almost half the teams 11-20 will also have lost, and teams aren't going to jump from the 20's into the top 10...
By comparison, A&M's loss is probably "not as bad" as OU's. About equal given the margin of each.

I mean, it's pretty clear that the top 10 will be...in some order...
1. Florida State
2. Auburn
3. Baylor
4. Notre Dame
5. UCLA
6. Mississippi
7. Mississippi State
8. Michigan State
9. Alabama
Either A&M or Oklahoma is going to occupy that 10th spot, unless Georgia, LSU or USC jumps back into the top 10, which I don't see (especially Georgia or USC, as their losses aren't that great).

Hey Sherm, have OSUs chances at a playoff increased now?

LSU shouldn't even be ranked if this result holds up. 0-2 in conference play without being competitive (aside from less than 2 minutes) in either game.Azubuike24;1660487 wrote:I mean, it's pretty clear that the top 10 will be...in some order...

I'd give it a 1% chance. I'm almost certain MSU or Nebraska would make it if they run the table the rest of the way. Pollsters have not been friendly to OSU since the loss and rightfully so looking at how Va Tech has played. I dont think one ranked team left on the schedule if good enough to move them from 20 to 4.ernest_t_bass;1660491 wrote:Hey Sherm, have OSUs chances at a playoff increased now?
That loss really does suck. OSU wasn't a top 5 team at the time of loss, but very well could be at the end of the season regardless of their ranking.

Cincinnati is getting pounded by Memphis. Looks like the Buckeyes will drop another couple of slots in the polls. :RpS_w00t:
