That was an awesome hour of television. Fantastic battle scenes. But, Jon Snow is also my favorite character, so I might be biased. I thought that was awesome and advanced the storyline a ton.
It was a good battle scene for sure. To spend an entire hour on it though, eh, kinda whatever to me. I just want to see what happens to Tyrion and if anything happens with the dragons.

Agreed. And agreed that Jon Snow is my favorite character, by process of RR elimination (technically, Tyrion still lives, as far as I know).

Just being facetious. Actually, Hound/Arya and Bronn are my favorites remaining. But tonight was really the first time that I like Jon Snow (as opposed to being annoyed by screen time/story time devoted to him).

And...fuck you RR!!! for killing a character I had forgotten how much I liked. If you're going to kill a great set of tits, how about the fat fuck "Were's Waldo" wannabe?!?

That was pretty shocking (if not that unexpected). Not quite to the levels of Ned Stark, but in terms of likability and "good guy" vibe, really disappointing in terms of one of the few characters introduced as having great potential.

I can see that. But, this is the biggest war we have had outside of Blackwater. I didnt mind it getting the full hour.

If they had gone into any other storyline tonight, even just briefly, people would be complaining that such a major battle was only given 30 minutes of air.

No complaints. It's only a nitpick because of how many plot lines they have and the fact only 1 episode remains. Setting that aside, it's an absolute fantastic episode.

And, very subtly, it was also a great episode for the character development of Jon Snow and Sam (or whatever the fat fuck ginger's name is). Also thought it was neat to see a lot more about the Wildlings and more of the Giants.

It may have been mostly action porn, but if you peel back the layers it was pretty deep on multiple fronts.

Seel the tunnel? What?

The boss man shot down that idea.

I thought the episode was ok.

Probably a stupid question, but how the fuck did the "main" Wildlings get over to the common area to fight? Why didnt everyone take that route?

Hey, I never had the Geek Squad color calibrate my HDTV.

Sam looks like a ginger to me. If not, then he's clearly dying his hair.

At worst, he's auburn:

Huh? They talked about it before, and again tonight.

Apparently it's like some big undertaking. I'm just saying, how hard is it to collapse a tunnel under 1000 foot of mountain?

They shot down the idea. They are NOT doing it. It was mentioned in last nights episode but somehow you took it the other way.

Yeah I don't understand the confusion...the commander dude told John Snow that he was right and that they should have collapsed the tunnel...AKA, they decided against it.

So what does everyone want/expect to see in the season finale? As long as we find out what happens with Tyrion I think I'll be happy with it. I doubt we see anything special from the White Walkers. I'm holding out hope that it ends with Dany and her crew getting on ships and heading to Westeros but I doubt it.

Yeah this made me LOL especially considering he was like an 8 year old boy who had was cowering in the corner at the begining of the fight and then hits a pinpoint perfect arrow through her heart haha
