I've been selling a lot of my old toys on ebay lately and dug out a lot of my old ninja turtles action figures from the late-80s, early-90s. My nephew is big into the turtles right now and the new action figures are pretty crappy compared to the old. I had sold a bunch of masters of the universe action figures a few years ago and they were pretty sweet as well.

I know in Belly's youth the only toy was a hoop and a stick, but what about everyone else?

TMNT, GI Joe, Legos.

That's pretty much my entire childhood in a nutshell.

I used to have a lot of He-Man and Transformers. As well as Go-Bots (Transformers for poor kids) and a few pro wrestling action figures (I remember having the Freebirds).

The wars between them were epic. When it came time to pack them away for disposal, a lot of them were missing arms, legs, heads or broken in some way.

Substitute GI Joe with Masters of the Universe and I'm the same. I still put together lego sets from time to time. My wife and I built the Back to the Future DeLorean while watching BTTF on NYE.

Belly, Tiernan and myself didn't play with "action figures" (aka dolls).

Batman... easily my favorite superhero as a kid and best movie series as an adult.

My grandma would make little capes for my batman guys.

I remember my friends and I also had some little (not normal sized action figures, but smaller) monster guys that were semi-collectable. I forget what they were called though.

I did a college speech/presentation on the Thundercats. #1 rated speech in my public speaking class by my peers. Prof wouldn't let me go to the finals with a speech about Thundercats though.
