I'll eat my words if his decisions pan out but I really don't think we will do well. I can have my opinion of not liking Klinsmann or his choices. A lot of pundits are questioning his decisions. Some of you act like it's just me thinking this.
You have noted 3-4 choices: mainly LD, Edu (who would've been a terrible choice to take), and Brooks/Chandler. Mostly everyone who are questioning anything are fans who have no idea what happened in camp. No one knows how anyone did but everyone is emotionally attached to LD. The World Cup has no room for sentimental value or emotional attachment. I don't care if it is even for a "super sub."

You get experience in friendlies not the World Cup. Plus no one knows how these kids are even going to pan out. It seems he may just pack it in for this one hoping for 2018. I'd really like to know what happened at camp. I think it will come out after the World Cup is over.
There is no playing for 2018, I don't know why so many people say that? Jurgen knows if he doesn't do somewhat well, he may not be here in 2018...so why do that? There are plenty of "veterans" on the team. Taking LD isn't an overwhelming amount of "experience" to the team...it's one player. Sure, he's seen a lot and done a lot. But where do we start/stop with that?
I said it earlier, how much "experience" does one team need? All 3 goalkeepers, Beasley, Cameron (veteran, but not as much experience with USMNT as some others), Gonzalez (same as Cameron), Zusi (same as previous two), Jones, Beckerman, Bradley, Bedoya, Altidore (even if he is younger), Wondolowski, and Dempsey. That's 14 players out of the 23 with great experience in playing. Is one more player going to change things
all that much? Just a question, but to me...I don't see it changing much.
You don't know if the young guys will pan out, but they definitely won't if they don't get some more experience. That's why I'm in favor of taking a young GK (to replace whoever may be 3rd on the depth chart). And, to clarify, you take the best players in each position
that fit the team. It's important to note that. There could be better players, but that doesn't mean it is what is best for the team.
