I was at a bar watching the Clowns self destruct Sunday, and this old asshole went on a 5 minute rant about the "the drive". Jesus H fucking Christ! It was 26 years ago. It got so bad, they kicked the old dude out.

I dropped 500 bucks to watch the Buckeyes self destruct in Indy, And I was over it before I got back to the hotel.

How long do you let a game gnaw on you?

I usually get over it rather quickly, except for one....

That beatdown at the hands of Florida in the national title game. Worst loss ever. I still get pissed when I think about it.

If that guy is still really acting angry about the drive, his problems are a lot bigger than the Browns.

I'm with you, I was at the game in Indy and was pretty much over it by the time I got a bar after the game.

Holy shit, you beat me to it. That loss was like a punch in the gut, and is one that I won't/can't forget.

Normally within an hour. But there are some that you just never get over.

Over sports? Never. In general, it depends. I'll get mad/angry, but I'm not one to usually hold a grudge. The grudge part depends on the actions of the other party, and their willingness/unwillingness to either accept apologies or admit mistakes.

I assumed the OSU loss this past weekend would bother me a lot more, but I got over it pretty quickly.

All depends on how meaninful the game is. When the Browns are out of it, I tend to care less (altho the last 3 weeks have pissed me off). I'd say after sleeping on it I am good.

When the Tribe lost the WS in 97, I was pretty young, but it took me a week to get over that. When the tribe lost in 07 ALCS it took me near a week to get over that as well. The 1997 WS still pisses me off if I think about it.

Most of these poll options are dumb as hell though, so I choose not to participate in the poll.

When I was an active competitor in sports i'd get mad at the losses my teams (that I rooted for) would suffer. After my own sports career ended along with just getting older I'm just like whatever over a loss now. Hell don't have time to be mad about that long as work takes up my time on that!

For the record I'd still fight Jose Mesa on spot today!

Watching the Patriots lose to the Giants to go 18-1 is the only loss that still bugs me.

If I have no vested financial interested in the game or event, than win or lose it just a game and what happens happens…

If I’ve wager on the game than I have some additional feeling about the out come.. however I bet knowing that I could lose and what I bet I was willing to lose, so no big deal… I’ll get over it quickly..

Getting anger over the out come of something that you have zero ability the alter the results is a waste of human energy.

I don't get mad. Sometimes I get frustrated but then I look at my bank account and realize people have it much worse. EZ.

You are right, nobody should give a fuck about sports or have a passion for their teams. Be sure to spread that message to the billions of people who will be supporting their countries in the World Cup this summer.

The "it's just a sport" argument has always been a dumb one to me. Brush up on your history and you will realize the power of sports.

I get over sports losses pretty quickly, though the Reds playoff collapse in 2012 took a while to stomach. I was over this years WC loss before the game even started. IDGAF enough about the NFL to stay mad for more than 5 minutes when the Jets lose and/or start getting blown out.

Usually I'm over it, but I can hold a grudge/be pissed for a while.

LBJ bitch boying against the Celtics when we were clearly the better team and he fucking quit. Fuck you LeBitchboy James

Losing to pittspuke with our pathetic prevent defense in 2002, I would love to fight Botch Davis for that pathetic ***** boy defensive scheme all in the second half.

2007 Browns, losing to Raiders in week 3 after beating cincy the week before. Dunn and that BS holding call still pisses me off. Losing to the bungals 2nd to last game of the season with DA throwing 4 ints. We still had a chance in that game and the entire Browns bar was screaming for Quinn. RAC was afraid to hurt DA's feelz and thus we were out of the playoffs. Fuck them both.

Those are the top ones for me that I still get pissed about. OSU florida game stung, but we got our asses kicked. It hurt to lose but wasn't anyone's fault really so I think that's why it doesn't sting the way the others do.

I just don't get the "raeg" because it's completely out of my control whether the team I'm rooting for wins or loses. I get being upset with the loss, but for that loss to have an impact on my day... I guess I just don't get that.

Now... if I'm coaching, or have family (an emotional connection) to the particular event, I guess I can see that a little more.
