They can still go undefeated with that schedule. Let's not panic people.

My only doubt is that nothing has been said, other than he left in a sling.

I'm sure Tim May wouldn't tweet that out without a pretty firm source.

Now on ESPN....but doesn't mention seriousness of the injury.

Jeremy Fowler ‏@JFowlerCBS 37m
Braxton was throwing a basic out route in a non-contact drill, grabbed his arm/shoulder area, said he felt something, they took him off

Jeremy Fowler @JFowlerCBS · 36m

Source I talked to said team didn't know if he'd be out a day or a month or what. All depends on what comes back.

After practice, Miller had ice on his shoulder and was smiling, in good spirits.

Hopefully, it comes back as nothing.

Does anyone even know what the surgery was even for? Bursitis?

Assuming Miller's most recent injury isn't a cleverly concocted Urban Meyer ruse, the loss of Miller will eliminate any legit chance of a national championship run this season.

Assuming Barrett is the go-to guy, I see 10-2 or maybe 9-3 if things really crumble. Losses to Michigan State in East Lansing for sure and the other loss or losses to one or a combination of: VT, Penn State (@ State College), or even Cincinnati has a chance (but not likely) at The Shoe.

Why would Meyer "concoct" this "ruse"?

I don't really know anything about Barrett, but I just don't see how we are going 10-2 with an average QB.

If Barrett is starting, that's not good, and 'not good' to me =6-8 wins

Barrett won't be able to run like Braxton. Not that many can. He is a better thrower. But he's going to be nervous as hell too. One thing I bet he can do netter than Braxton, is make the correct read in the read option. Braxton for whatever reason is terrible at that. I think we will be fine. Probably lose a game we shouldn't. Not sure they have a chance of beating msu at night and PSU probably becomes a losable game with that environment.

I'm gonna stick with 10 wins though. If Barrett can make good reads in the option game and hit the quick hitters in the pass game, they'll be fine.

Also huge that he's already been getting first team reps since last winter. That's big.

Allegedly Braxton went down like he was shot after the throw and was on the ground for five minutes. He is telling everyone he done, and it looked like a season ending injury to everyone. That being said, we have seen Braxton go down like he was dead before (see Purdue), and miraculously recover. The MRI today will tell the tale.

Barrett seems to be a nice prospect with good leadership abilities. He does not have a strong arm or great speed, but both are OK. I think in time he could be a better Guiton, just making the plays and playing point guard. He will have some growing pains this year though, and they will lose multiple games if he starts.

Actually strong accurate arm is his best strength from everything I've read. I wanna go back and watch the spring game now.
