Wouldn't be surprised at all if Ohio State-Michigan State ends up in primetime as well. Would be head to head against LSU/Alabama, but without looking can't imagine there is a better game that week to go against it for ABC.

LOL. I find it amusing that only Buckeye fans care. I'm sure if Michigan wanted to hype it and get more attendance, they would. Why do you care so much?

Why? WHY? Because Michigan is a major d1 program (maybe it isn't anymore, but that's another question for another day). As a "major d1 program", typically you have rabid fans. It looks pretty bad if your school is closer to Miami (in terms of Spring Game attendance) than Alabama (90,000). It's that "environment" that builds a major d1 program, and 15,000 for a spring game isn't building no "environment" at Michigan.


Plenty of schools don't have large spring game attendance. Again... are you trying to be Miami or are you trying to be Alabama?

Look at the spring game attendance for the last few National Champions...

2013 - Florida State - 27,500
2012 - Alabama - 78,500
2011 - Alabama - 92,300
2010 - Auburn - 63,200
2009 - Alabama - 84,000
2008 - Florida - 61,000

Call me crazy... but there appears to be more of a positive correlation than a negative correlation. But hey... that's just me :-)

Well just from a recruiting standpoint, say a kid went to Michigan game. Sees 15k, then a week later goes to osu's and sees 61k. It's not a reason to pick a school, but it's absolutely a selling point.

I'd guess the emergence of Worley ended up driving him away. That put him at probably the 5th or 6th safety spot behind Bell, Worley, Powell, Burrows, and possibly Tanner.

Bad example when half of them are the same team, and the most recent doesn't have high attendance. I'll tell you what, I will continue to not give a shit, and you continue to worry about it.

It absolutely is... Meyer said it was. He wanted more people there. He had big recruits in town and he definitely wanted to sell it to them that they'd be playing in front of the best fans in America. He flat out said it. You have 0 argument. You just say no its not...

Is it that bad at Michigan that people literally don't care about their team in April. Maybe if they were still winning all those April recruiting national titles they'd be more excited?

Fuck Michigan. They've become a complete joke.

Its a spring game...a glorified practice. Is it really that big of a deal that Michigan didnt have 50k fans there? Theres religiously 100k+ fans for actual games, obviously the fans are there when it matters

If the roles were reversed, you'd be blistering OSU for their fans' apathy...15K is a pathetic showing for one of the country's most storied programs. Period.
