Are you that butthurt about someone talking about libs that you can't just let one thing go? Good lord
Your initial post was QQing that American Sniper didn't win, and you said he didn't win bc of his politics. I pointed out that he already won, then you backtracked to "lately". Million Dollar Baby wasn't THAT long ago, and most directors don't win one, let alone multiple. I brought up Scorese as an example. Great director, 1 Oscar. It has nothing to do with his politics, he didn't win bc American Sniper wasn't as good. I think you're the one butthurt QQing that American Sniper didn't win.

I wasn't "QQ'ing" about it. I was throwing out my opinion on a thread about the subject.

And I didn't backtrack. It's quite obvious that within the last five years Eastwood has gone a bit off the deepend. And that includes going off about the liberal media. That, IN MY FUCKING OPINION, is the reason why he didn't win BP for American Sniper.

The only "QQ'ing" on here was when you cried about my opinion because it went against your liberal mentality.

It is of MY OPINION that American Sniper was a better all around movie than birdman. I have heard a lot of people with complaints about birdman, I have heard next to nothing of negative remarks on American Sniper other than that damn fake baby.

Birdman won because it was an "academy" type movie with a bunch of directors, producers and whatever's who suck up to the academy and its voters. It was a classic best picture movie. But it wasn't the best picture of the year...in my opinion :)

Metacritic:

American Sniper - 76%
Birdman - 88%
Boyhood - 100%
Whiplash - 88%

You're right, it's the liberal voters.

Oooh. Metacritic. Yeah..Critics.....big fing deal.

"Creating our proprietary Metascores is a complicated process. We carefully curate a large group of the world’s most respected critics, assign scores to their reviews, and apply a weighted average to summarize the range of their opinions. The result is a single number that captures the essence of critical opinion in one Metascore. Each movie, game, television show and album featured on Metacritic gets a Metascore when we've collected at least four critics' review"

For the record...I agree with S&L. American Sniper was way better than Birdman. People's choice awards, I would venture to bet that American Sniper wins that match-up easily.

I thought boyhood was pretty over rated. It's cool they took 8 years or whatever and used the same actors so you can see how they grew up but in general the movie didn't do a whole lot for me. The mom made bad decisions and the dad grew up. Big deal.

Interstellar probably the best scify movie I've seen in years. Wasn't somewhat unpredictable, which is refreshing. 9/10

"Tammy"

4/10. Not very funny. I like Melissa McCarthy, but it was her worst role.

Went on a bender last night.

The Frozen Ground - 3/10. Meh.

Brick Mansion - 5/10. Typical Paul Walker film. Kept me entertained. Wasn't expecting much.

You're Next - 7/10. If you liked Strangers or The Purge, you would probably like it.

Field Of Lost Shoes - 7/10. I enjoyed it.

Marley 8/10

Awesome documentary with some good old footage and interviews from Bob. It also told a lot of things that I previously didn't know about him. One being that he's half white.

I saw someone say that Boyhood was overrated and the whole 8 year watching the kid grow up had been done before in Harry Potter lol. It's kinda true too.

Ha! I hadn't thought of it that way but it's kinda true. Boyhood was more realistic, but it was so realistic that it wasn't interesting to me. It's the same story any random guy off of the street could tell you.

I thought it was better than that but also the last one I'll watch. Didn't feel very Die Hardish....I thought the first 3 did.
