7 of the last 10 Super Bowl winners were drafted in the 1st round. Ok, so maybe not top 10 (only 3)...but this idea you are gonna win a Super Bowl without guys in the 1st round is asinine. By the way, the other 3 are Brady, Brees (would've been 1st round at 32 overall, but didn't have 32 teams then) and Wilson.

Also, the number of top 10 picks jumps to 5/10 if you count Big Ben who was drafted 11 overall.

Also LB's drafted in the top 10 last 5 years:

Mingo - Pending
Kuechly - Carolina 12-4 season. Playoffs
Miller - 13-3 season. Super Bowl runner ups
Smith - 12-4 season. NFC runner ups
McClain - 4-12 season. Pryor was starting QB and is 10x better than Manziel will ever be
Curry - 13-3 season. Super Bowl Champions

QB's drafted in the top 10 last 5 years:

Luck - 11-5 season. #1 overall pick; highest rated QB in the draft since Manning. 10000x better than Manziel will ever be.
RG3 - 3-13 season. Bust. Fucking garbage and has screwed the Redskins over for the next decade
Tannehill - 8-8 season. Barely played. Never has won anything.
Newton - 12-4. Playoffs. Success mostly attributed to having one of the best defense in the league.
Locker - 7-9 season. LOL
Gabbert - 4-12 season. LOL
Bradford - 7-9 season. So good.
Stafford - 7-9 season. Apparently Browns fans want to be 7-9
Sanchez - 8-8 season. Out of the league garbage.

Please tell me more about how we need to draft a QB. With the exception of Oakland who are garbage anyway, it looks like drafting a LB in the top ten correlates higher with success than drafting a QB.

and what do those LB's all have in common?

A pretty good damned QB.

NIce try there.

I'm using correlation. Success is highly correlated with drafting a LB in the top ten. There is virtually zero correlation with drafting a QB in the top ten and being sucessful in the NFL(aka its a crapshoot).

Yeah, 1 drafted #1 overall. 1 drafted in the 2nd round. 1 drafted in the 3rd round. The other traded for. Zero of these guys drafted #4 overall like Browns fans want.

You really think RG3 or Tannehill are NFL caliber QBs? Please. They are fucking terrible and so Manziel will be the same.

lol at the bolded parts. Saying Pryor a better qb than Manziel. Thats why Manziel will be a top 5 pick. Also counting Curry dude hasn't played in 3 seasons and is out of the NFL and Von Miller using steriods, suspended half the season.

Did you forget the records Stafford put up with the lions? I love how flawed your agruement is. RG3 led the redskins to the playoffs last year and didn't play half of the season. Locker hurt all year lol keep making shit up to make your case look good! Thanks for the laughs.

So by your theory LBs win superbowls and QBs. Thank god your not the Browns GM.

If I was the Brown's GM, we'd be winning Super Bowls instead of drafting the next Brandon Weeden.

You think Mingo is an all pro LB??

I don't think either are that good (qbs or Mingo)

Point is, if one is pending, so are the others.

Mingo was a great pick. Now imagine Mingo and Mack lining up in the backfield for the next decade. Fucking scary.

But no, let's draft a QB that won't pan out because QB and wait another decade to make the playoffs.

Mingo showed glimpses of promise. But his numbers line up with BUST.

It correlates much better than picking a QB at #4. Not sure why you find logic and reason so difficult to understand or why you try so hard to argue against it.

I tend to agree, If he is on the field for 80 defensive plays a game, He should have more tackles.

OTOH, What if the Browns had an offense and He only had 60 plays a game. Maybe he's gassed and does not do well playing an extra quarter every game.

No, no it doesn't.

I find it funny that basically everyone that is paid to evaluate these things are saying the browns should take the QB. But yet, you are the one person with "logic" in this world.

Gabbert
Bradford
Stafford
Sanchez
Ryan
Russell
Young
Leinart
Smith
Manning
Rivers
Palmer
Leftwich

Also you clearly have no idea what correlation means. LOL. No surprise you probably also don't have a job with a salary.

stop reading there. He was way over drafted. Not worth a top ten pick.

LOL if andrew luck was on the browns, we would've won the super bowl last year. I'm done talking about this with you as you clearly value a linebacker from the mac over a potential franchise QB.

If the Browns go Mack then come back and get Ryan Shazier with their second 1st round pick I think they can pretty much book the Super Bowl hotel reservations for the team.
