I would take a look at meachum and bailey. If Bailey would be willing to play nickel once Gilbert is up to speed sign him up. He has to be better than skrine.

I dont get the Skrine hate. He sucked when he was guarding 1s when Haden was suspended, and pretty much sucked that whole year, but I thought he played pretty well last season and think he will be a great nickel back.

Didn't see his post. However that's one dumb post about skrine. Skrine is just fine.

Well the Browns picked up WR LaRon Byrd off the waivers. It's a good thing I'm no GM.

I hope Farmer is proud of himself continuing that fine tradition of Browns GM's who get defense obsessed and refuse to put a watchable offense on the field.

The guy's a fucking bum for thinking that our receiver situation was even remotely acceptable, much less adequate to even consider this team competing.

All I know is that if the offense struggles early and it's because our WR ineptitude is allowing teams to load up the box to stop the run then Farmer better duck and cover because he is going to get brutalized for his arrogance this off-season and he will deserve every word of it. Florio is already all over it at PFT, but it will catch on if we are living on a steady diet of field goals all year.

Skrine is fine in the slot covering the #3. He has some problems with a #2 and has no business covering a #1.

We'd be much better off with 1/2 the browns posters who wanted to sign Holmes. Homles > Byrd. We're all very glad a cowboys fan (that's you) isn't the gm. Now get over yourself. Thanks.

Just now getting around to watching the bears preseason game.

Loved that td drive hoyer led. I feel confident going into the season with him as the QB.

Just from one drive lol? I am just hoping the defense was very vanilla and they pwn during the season. That's our hope to win game 1.

You're talking about the same guy who wants to crown Barret as the greatest QB of all time, because he won a closer than everyone thought type of game vs Navy.

Well our dc isn't a fucking moron only playing our best dline player 35% of the snaps, so we're on the way at least.

I just know he can make those throws that he made on that drive. He did it last year when he was healthy. We don't need him to be amazing, just make the throws that he can make and don't make too many errors. I'm confident.

When people talk shit I'm going to talk it back. Plain and simple. I'm all for good discussion, but many of you feel the need to be giant douches.

You're not talking shit, you were sucking your own dick for mentioning 5 WRs the browns could pick up and correctly calling 1 of the 5.

Tool.

As of now Hoyer seems to be a good enough QB to win games with a couple weapons. We have a very good TE and a couple average RBs. Unless our WR step up big time I just don't see Hoyer getting much of a chance to show if he's any better than just average.

Good point.

WR is such a big concern for this organization. I don't understand how we can be so bad at the WR position for so long.

I felt more confident when he lead them to that TD. Yes, it was the Bears 2's & 3's and people say "but it was only Chicago's backups."

Their goal was to get in, lead a successful TD drive and get off the field healthy. They accomplished their mission.

Would people prefer they shit in their hat and went 3 & out against Chicago's scrubs? The fact that they looked functional gives me more confidence that they can do something than the prior 3 games, against scrubs or not.
