I would add to that list Mark May. He is still mad he did not get recruited by the OSU and he takes it out on all Buckeyes every chance he gets.

The ONLY debate is who is the top at-large team. Ohio State or Alabama. That team plays in the Orange. The other plays in the Sugar. My prediction is the Orange picks Ohio State. Central Florida is LOCKED in the Orange.

Florida State/Auburn
Michigan State/Stanford
Ohio State/Central Florida
Alabama/Clemson
Baylor/Oregon

It's almost a guarantee.

It's almost a guarantee.
The Orange Bowl is stuck with what is typically a garbage ACC champion every year. I highly doubt they would pass up Ohio State vs. a major team to take UCF and destroy their TV ratings and ticket sales unless the other BCS bowls gave them half of their profits.

Central Florida won the AAC and gets an automatic bid to the Orange Bowl. The Orange is stuck with them vs whoever. Due to "losing" their other bid to the #1 seed in the BCS-NCG, the Orange Bowl gets to pick any team they want to replace FSU. The Sugar Bowl gets to pick anyone left after the Orange.

The Orange will select Ohio State number 1 and the Sugar will select Alabama number 2. The Sugar will then also get #3 (and pick Clemson, Oregon or Oklahoma) and the Fiesta will get #4 and pick either Clemson or Oregon (they can't pick Oklahoma, or won't want to because Baylor is in the Big XII).

The only real debate is who does the Orange want to play UCF. Bama or OSU.

I'm wondering how, unless there is some provision where the Orange Bowl can pass on UCF because of BCS ranking. The AAC has a contract with the Orange Bowl.

No it does not, and neither did the Big East in recent years. They are not tied to the Orange Bowl.

Honestly, I'd like to see Oregon vs Baylor. I'd prefer to see Ohio State against Oklahoma, not Clemson. Neither team really deserves a bid, but Oklahoma has BETTER wins than Clemson. Clemson got dominated by the 2 marquee teams they played.

AAC is only guaranteed BCS, but their placement is the same as an at-large.

Since NIU lost and the AAC is terrible, they will be picked last. Last pick goes to Fiesta.

So, which at-large is left out? Oklahoma, Clemson or Oregon? IMO, of those 3, it SHOULD BE Clemson at home.

Oregon is left out. They bring the fewest traveling fans and already made it clear they aren't interested in any bowl other than the title game.

It’s the east coast instead of the west coast and oranges instead of roses, but a once great season can still end on a high note. The No. 7 Buckeyes will play 12th-ranked Clemson in the Orange Bowl Jan. 3, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy. The news came one day after a crushing loss to Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship Game.
Ohio State and Clemson have played once before – the fateful 1978 Gator Bowl when Woody Hayes slugged Clemson linebacker Charlie Bauman resulting in the legendary coach’s dismissal. The Tigers won 17-15.
The 2013 season presented similar circumstances for both teams. Each carried national championship aspirations for a large chunk of the year until humbling defeats. The makeup of the teams is also similar – potent offenses, lackluster defenses and little national respect.
Clemson’s struggles have led to the creation of the verb “Clemsoning.” The Tigers are 10-2 this season with both loses coming against top-10 opponents – Florida State and South Carolina. Quarterback Tajh Boyd spurned Ohio State on National Signing Day in 2009 to sign with Clemson.
He was an All-American in 2012 and holds numerous school records. Boyd’s completed 67.6 percent of his passes this season for 3,473 yards, 29 touchdowns and nine interceptions. The Tigers rank 11th nationally in passing offense and 12th in total offense.
The Buckeyes only previous Orange Bowl appearance came in 1977 when they beat Colorado 27-10.

Agreed. Missouri ended up beating arguably the best team from the Big 12, while A&M beat the runner up from the ACC. I guess they are good outside of the SEC too ;) FTR Missouri was starting to peak with some very solid seasons toward the end of its Big 12 era, and A&M started out top 10 (maybe top 5) in its last season with the Big 12 and caught a lot of close losses (including one to Arkansas), before adding the Heisman trophy winner.
-Auburn, a team that finished 0-8 in the SEC in 2012, was strong enough to take a 21-3 lead into the waning moments of the National Championship first half before Florida State pulled a fake punt and later needed a kickoff return.
-South Carolina crushed Clemson (the same Clemson who beat Ohio State) and also beat Wisconsin in their bowl.
-The mediocre LSU beat Iowa, while the mighty Gophers from Minnesota lost to the lowly Orange from Syracuse.
-It took 5 turnovers, 2 unforced, for Oklahoma to upset Alabama.

The SEC is strong fellas. Just gotta live with it. Doesn't mean teams from other conferences can't be good as well- as FSU proved tonight.
