What jersey does he wear this coming season?

I don't think it will be a Reds one but I don't know where he ends up.

I agree. He's gone, but no idea where he ends up.

I'll guess the Tiggers.

Reds.
Time heals the butthurtedness that the club has from his comments saying they lied to him. They are going to look past those comments and realize that if they want to get to the WS they need him in the lineup with more additions. Get rid of him and that is ANOTHER big hole to fill and it isnt going to happen. Over 100 ribeyes last year and a great RISP shows he was one of the few guys who were clutch.

Choo is already gone and if the franchise things they can win this year without Choo AND Phillips ....they are going to end up muddling through with a sub .500 record.

Tigers got Kinsler. Won't need BP. Texas is out as well since they have a nice young prospect coming up in the MI.

If I had to guess someone other than the Reds, I say Atlanta.

If we lose Choo and BP and don't pick up any big time players this team won't sniff the playoffs.

Well...he probably despises the tribe, they destroyed him back in the day. He should stay put, cincy gave him a shot when I doubt anyone else would. Not that loyalty means anything to these selfish athletes....

They won't lose both and not replace one of them with an equal.

Reds. He's the emotional leader of the team, basically what Hunter is to the Tigers which makes him so valuable in addition to his terrific play. Besides the Tigers are gonna probably get Choo anyways so cannot lose both in Cincy

Not sure Phillips wasn't one of the clubhouse problems this past season. Dusty obviously had no control over him, as seen with the C Trent situation.

I agree 0% that he was the emotional leader. For years Hunter was the comparison....but Hunter grew up.

If Phillips is a Red, it's because they didn't get what they wanted for him. They have made it quite clear (and the rumors have been swirling about this for a month) that he' available.

So, he might end up back in Cincinnati, things might turn out fine, etc...but it won't necessarily be because the Reds executed their off-season "plan" to perfection.

As long as he is not in a Reds jersey I will be fine. He is going downhill in a hurry! Don't give me crap about RBI's...Anyone would have driven in runs with Choo (4th in OBP in MLB) and Votto (2nd) hitting in front of them. I believe I seen where he lead the league in plate appearances with runners on base. His OPS was barely over .700 (.706-that was the worst in the majors by .041 for anyone that drove in 100+ runs). His legs seem to be going. (5 stolen bases - 1 less than Todd Frasier). His WAR was 1.6 - lowest since his first full season. His defensive metrics are getting worse.

If someone will pay him, the Reds have to unload him.

You do realize he hit .338 with RISP right which was better than Votto and I think everyone else?

I am not a BP apologist, but you cannot argue what he did last year when he had ducks on the pond. On a team that was less than clutch in the biggest times, he carried the team much of the sesaon. He tailed off at the end, was terrible when no one was on base as I think he was trying to win the Tundra for one of his many baby momma's, but he did drive in over 100 AND hit .338 with RISP.

I would understand your criticism if he had hit poorly with RISP, but the opposite happened.
