LOL musical ability isn't opinion based. It's quantifiable. Like if we take a test, and one of us gets a B and one of us gets a C, the one who got the C can't just say that he did better on the test and that holds up because it's an opinion. Opinions can be wrong you know? In this case, it's not an opinion. It's a simple fact, the members of DMB are top level musicians. Every one of them. Their bass player is a prodigy. Dave Matthews is considered one of the best composers of our day. Their drummer is considered one of the best drummers in the world. It goes on and on. It's a collection of top level musicians. Nickelback is not. Liking this song or that song is based on opinion. Maybe as a has been? Too many people want those three to be back to elite every year. Really Michigan hasn't been there since 2007 now, Texas has been mediocre for the last 4 years and Notre Dame has developed no consistency at all. As do I. I happen to think DMB is comprised of fantastic musicians (Dave himself might be the weakest of the bunch, musically, though I contend that his composition is very creative).

I prefer my favorite bands to have a lead singer that can sing. I really don't care if he got an A on his music test. I hate their music....I'm sure the drummer, guitar and everyone are greatly talented....but I hate their sound.O-Trap;1541919 wrote:As do I. That's fair. It's a preference thing.
