So, I was driving back home from visiting family on Sunday during the whole supposed super-storm that wound up being pretty underwhelming overall.

It was kind of a pain to drive, not so much because of the weather (rained off and on), but because it was in that 5-6 p.m. zone right now when it's in that dusk period where it's not light, but not truly dark.

Generally speaking, that's my least favorite time to drive or at least tied with night during rain (love driving at night, but not when it's rainy).

I think a big part of that is because, probably due to contacts in part, my eyes are kind of light-sensitive. During dusk, it seems like other vehicles' headlights are just brighter in my eyes. Like how, at night in rain, everything seems too damn reflective and shiny because of all the light coming off puddles and stuff. Just annoys the crap out of me.

So, do you have specific times of the day you'd rather drive or not drive?

Night in the rain. Was driving from Columbus to Lima to back home in west central ohio during that storm. Wasnt too bad at all, little windy. One thing that was sketchy is on 75 in lima there is a shit ton of construction going on and a "valley" on the interstate where water really has no where else to go but pool at the bottm of it. Luckily there was a flashing sign saying standing water and could slow down enough.

All I am doing when I drive to work (6-7 AM) at this time of the year is watching for deer. That's annoying as shit

All the time for me, I'm not a fan of driving.

I agree with the Cbus comments. People freak the fuck out while driving at the smallest sign of precipitation.

When there is any sort of precipitation, anywhere. People tend to leave their brains at home those days.

I also am not a fan of big city driving. But, I do spend a good amount of time on the road. Two 14+ hour trips are coming up for me during Thanksgiving.

Same here. Was surprised with all of the wind yesterday morning that I saw a guy pulled off to the side with his hazard lights on. As I got closer I saw a deer laying off in the grass and it's eyes were still shining so I assumed he just hit it. Passed him and saw the front end of his pickup was completely jacked.

Not a fan of night rain driving but night snow driving, coming home from work (Solon/Snow Belt) is horrible.

Change that to Cincinnati and this post could be me talking. I could drive all day long and be totally happy as long as I'm never stuck in traffic. Drive about 25,000 miles a year and don't mind it at all.

Drivers everywhere panic. It'd be nice if the majority of them crashed and opened up the road more.

I drive about the same amount and i very much mind it. If i could shoot people while i drove i'd mind it less.

I drive about 50,000mi/yr. I have become a very patient driver in rush hour. It doesn't bother me much, but when I am driving through Columbus and it's drizzling and you feel the need to slow down to 50 in a 65, I get irate.

I love driving, but if I lived in a larger city, I'd be in the same boat as a lot of you. I hate being around large crowds, whether in person or in my car, so dealing with rush hour pisses me off. And being behind that idiot who drops the mph by 15 because the weather is 5% worse than ideal is a major peeve.

You get the latter anywhere, but the more cars you're around, the more likely it'll happen on any given day. A lot of ways, I like driving at night the most just because there are fewer cars on the road, so I can go for miles without seeing many (if any) other people on the road in more rural areas.

Funny thing: for me, that's the biggest adjustment to the fall clock change. I'll be thinking, "It's fuckin' dark out; why the hell is everyone in the world out on the roads right now?!?" And then I'll realize it's about 6:30 p.m.
