The Hz I believe is the drag of the picture....the older flat screens were 60 Hz and quick movements in sports would have an annoying drag when following the football, baseball etc....the 120 Hz is recommended for sports....240 Hz must be for watching lightning or something.ernest_t_bass;1544046 wrote:I don't even know what the hell that means in a TV, lol.

120 is the sweet spot....most of the ones advertising 240 is bullshit. It is all through processing manipulation. Yeah....I haven't seen any problems with that of any tv in the last 5-6 years.

I think Plasma TV's are irrelevant to Hz anyway, which is what I have.
42" 720p Insignia Plasma. $400 at Worst Buy. I know two other people with the same TV and we all love it.
