I will never Black Friday shop. Not even close to worth it.

Part of me wants to watch all of the idiots act crazy....but not sure if I could actually bring myself to do it. If there is a certain item I wouldn't mind having, I usually have a friend or relative that is shopping that day, so I have them get it.

TV Experts. What say you about this TV?

Edit: I'm looking for a 22-24" TV/DVD combo, to save wires. I'd like for the power cord to be the only wire I have, as I'll be mounting a Roku on the back of it.

Historically tv/vcr and tv/dvd combos have been pretty shit at both functions.

However, define "shit." I'm not buying this TV for performance. It's just to hang from the ceiling in my sunroom for my girls to watch. This won't be a TV I will use to invite people over to sit around watching.

Usually poor quality, lacking features.

You get what you pay for.

Also, when the DVD player shits out, you're stuck with a bulky mess.

Is there really much difference (small TV) in 720p and 1080p? Again, this will not be for group viewing. Just for casual, not every day viewing.

Generally speaking, if you sit more than 10 feet away from your TV, and your display isn’t bigger than 50 inches diagonally, you won’t be able to tell the difference between 720 and 1080.

Just had a buddy tell me that there are certain PPV shows on DISH that will only show on 1080p. Dum. Good thing I don't rent PPV.

I might be thinking of 240 vs 120 Hz anyway.

Even if the source is 1080p, the TV will downsample it to 720p

Sounds like it's just for you daughters, might as well treat them the same as your wife. Buy the cheapest one possible and then get a 60 in HD 3D tv for yourself.

Anyone interested in a PS4 or Xbox1....toys r us is having bundles on sale at midnight. Looks like you pretty much have to buy 2 games with it or a controller and a game. Not really a "deal", but if you are wanting one for face value, here is your chance.
