I enjoy clubs like these. For one, the booze is cheap, and secondly, it's a much more enjoyable atmosphere than the local bars. Also, I've won quite a bit of money through the Eagles.

I'd never want to join any kind of club that would approve people like me as a member.

Don't who have at least one creditable friend who could lie and say you're responsible? That's what I do.

Years ago I was a member of a few clubs but lost interest, I'm not a social type person I pick and choose my friends and my activities... I like being a loner, gives me freedom to be myself without the phony ass kissing of groups. I'm ask to volunteer at times and I will donate to events/programs but I will never join

Had pretty decent pool tables and lots of illegal gambling available.
I played softball for a troy fish and game team in the early nineties.

That's a lot of belly-ing up to the bar........no pun intended.

You can learn a lot from drinking with old men, though.
I became a member of most of them because they do a lot of stuff for the communities they are part of. I also like that I can go to almost any city and be able to go to one of these places.

The fund-raising and donations each club makes to the community (especially the schools) drew me in. Plus the drink prices and bands are awesome also.

This.

I'm a former member of the Elks and VFW but never liked it. What was supposed to be an organized, friendly, and comfortable social setting turned out to be just more in-fighting, politicking, and schmoozing.

I get enough of that at my place of employment. I don't need to pay dues to "enjoy' more of it!

believer, I've never been into an Elks club. but the few VFW's I have been into, the people I met there were very friendly. Same with the Moose and Eagles. I leave my attitude at the door and have a good time! If you get some jerk sitting beside you, get up and move.... Remember the lyrics in one of the Godz (rock&roll) songs,,, "There's more of us than there are of them".

But like they say " If its to loud, you're to old". And its been getting louder & louder the last few years:huh:: thumbup:.

Basically the people in these clubs are good down to earth people. A lot of them donate their time for fund-raisers in their community. By the way, these "clubs" do not tolerate rude or abusive people on the premises. They are family friendly.

Surprised no one has admited to being part of the Super Adventure Club.

Went to a Kiwanis meeting once, and they made ya sing a song before eating so I said F that.

Been thinking about joining the local lions club but who knows.
