....forgot

ended my darts career at Jordan's bar in Columbus after bitch woman principal screamed at me because I said I hadn't played in 10 years and she was in some league and sucked

fishing career ended at Long's Retreat age 12

bowling career ended at age 27 at Shawnee Lanes in Chillicothe

Hisssss. Not everything ends at High School sports. There are a lot of adult competitive amateur leagues. They aren't watered down, and can be a lot of fun. Many good softball leagues (fast and slow pitch) are still present, and I had a blast playing in the NYC corporate/banker/lawyer leagues playing against many Div I players - including Zendon Hamilton of St. Johns fame as well as a bunch of other Div I guys that were really good. i can't do it anymore but at age 30 back in the day it was pretty cool....my wife loved going to our games.

I loved the slow pitch softball until about 3 years ago.

Wrestling - in 4th grade
Basketball - after 8th grade
Baseball - after high school
Soccer - after college (wish I could still play, but there's nowhere close to play)

I coach full-time. So, I'm continuously around sport.

Six cups per hand/arm, plus two cups with my teeth, one on my head, three per elbow to rib combination, and can still run a 5.2 (non-wind assisted) 40m dash! ...and not even spill a drop!!!!!!

LOL...no. Regional independents. I wrestled in various states & Canada. Had an offer to go to Japan. I got started in the business way too late. Was trained by Al Snow's (WWE, ECW) group and was told that, at my size, had I gotten into it much younger I probably would've hit it big. It's not really a "sport" but you do have to be pretty athletic.

Not many people put their bodies through the crap that those wrestlers do.

Don't confuse sport and athletic. Sports are competitions based off of a scoring system. Many sports are un-athletic. Many athletic activities are not sports.

Exactly. The annoying part is when people attempt to put them on different levels for reasons I don't get. A world-class dancer is every bit the athlete as any ballplayer. This obvious truth seems to spark massive amounts of cognitive dissonance in some people.



To answer the original question:

Football: college
Baseball and wrestling: high school
Golf: Early 30's when I realized to continue to enjoy it I would need to put in more time working on my game than I was willing to commit.
Tennis: Still play. Can play a respectable half a set, then the tank goes dry.

Hunting and fishing have long been considered "outdoor sports" but the majority of hunters and fishers don't do anything with scoring.

Where's that go then?

Wrestling: As a member of a team it ended when high school did. I've done open tournaments here and there since graduating though and I've done a few bjj events as well. I really enjoy bjj but haven't been able to do anything because I keep getting injured. Getting old sucks.

Golf: Stopped playing on the team junior year, I still play as much as I can. I'm much better now than I ever was in high school, I just take it easier so I'm more relaxed which ends in better scores.

I run as often as I can and probably do around 5-10 events between 5ks and Tough Mudders and other obstacle races. Usually do pretty well for my age group since I'm age where most of the actual good runners are either on college teams or just out of college and want to be lazy for a bit. When I hit 30 I'll start getting my ass kicked again.

Soccer: Play in rec leagues sometimes.

Sports are competitions, professional wrestling is a performance. Very different.

Last thing I checked, professional wrestling also has competitions...there are belts on the line. There are winners and losers.
