Al Jefferson is having a big night too, but it's completely overshadowed.

The more I pay attention to sports media, the less I care about the NBA. Every day Sportscenter is "Zomg the Knicks lost again where will Carmelo go next year!?" or "Zomg the Heat won and Lebron scored points!" You'd hardly realize there are 8-10 teams out west that are better, more interesting, and more fun to watch than any team in the east except the Pacers (and maybe Heat, who I don't find entertaining because I hate Bosh and Wade, and their fans suck).

The majority of those teams out west are more fun to watch, but they also play little to no defense.

Compared to the ten eastern conference teams that are >.500 because they play such stellar defense?

That doesn't paint the whole picture though, defense is only one aspect of the game. My point was that many of the teams in the west are very poor defensively, which will probably keep them from competing for a title.

I don't disagree but 8 of the top 15 best defensive teams are from the west.

I know. Some of these teams are fun and exciting to watch, and are having some newer success (Suns, Blazers). I just wish ESPN would show more actual basketball and focus on the league as a whole. They like to think that there's only 3-4 teams including the Knicks who suck. But, ESPN is obviously very popular, so there must be a demand for the drama.

I know its a few days late, but I wasn't impressed with James having 61 points against the bobcats. They are horrible.

Ehh I don't think any teams in the east aside from Indiana an Miami should be aloud in the top 5-7 of anything.

And Durant went 8-24 the previous game that Charlotte played going against MKG. Anytime anyone scores that much it is impressive, especially on only 33 shots.

Spurs looked like a well oiled machine tonight, they are probably still the toughest match up for Miami because of their ball movement.

This la la game is a joke

Lakers couldn't play defense if a gun was to their head.
