ESPN has already changed many games. I think 3 or 4 Lakers games have been dropped.

But usually TNT nights there are only 2 or 3 games even being played, so they get the 2 bigger name match ups.

Tonight, these are the only 2 games in the League.

Im sure this has very little to do with anything, but doing it this way would put people out of work (or the company would have to shell out twice as much).

By that I mean, NFL games usually have a set crew who do all of CBS A-B-C-D-ETC games. So if it go flexed out, no one is really losing money, they just work a few days earlier or later that week.

NBA though, TNT/ESPN/ABC hire out freelancers locally. They might have their director or something be a company employee, but Cam Ops, CG Ops, Audio Techs etc will more than likely be local. If TNT books them, they pay them. Doesnt matter if the game is cancelled, the contract is made. So TNT flexs out of LA tonight and heads to, say, Miami. Well, now they have to pay 2 crews...on top of that, someone has to find a crew on (relative) short notice...

Skills challenge was pretty fun. Burl shot that 19 footer, ran around to get the last ball, weaves through two obstacles and laid the ball in under 6.5 seconds to win by 1/10th of a second
