If poor people were just unlucky across the board, you'd find almost no correlation between the factors I listed above with poverty. Sorry, but reality is, if you are chronically poor you're probably a dumbass who makes consistently poor choices. I don't feel bad for you and I hope your life is as miserable as can be.
sleeper;1518933 wrote:Also your article just proves my point. People with low income make a poor choice not to finish college as well as a poor choice in going to a poor school.

Thanks!
lulz, those aren't choices, those are available opportunities.

But that's cool, shitting on poor people is an amiable quality and you should feel good about yourself.
One reason is the poor often go to lower-tier schools, said Tim Smeeding, the director for the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. These institutions often have bigger classes and offer less individual attention and guidance.

Also, their parents don't have the financial means to aid their children.

I believe everybody has the opportunity to pursue higher education. Loans, scholarships, government grants for lower income families. If you want to go to college you can go to college.

Cutting something up is a lot different than all of the work that goes into roasting a chicken. It really is a good amount of work. The pre-cooked ones are much easier and are really versatile. I don't understand the harm in them being allowed. If someone decides that an extra dollar or two are worth it because of the hassle, so be it.
It would make the system really difficult to itemize hot food items. Making a blanket exemption for hot food is easy. If that means someone can't by a rotisserie chicken, oh well.

I sure hope they can buy condoms with the EBT cards. THAT will go a long way in helping solve the "problem".

I went to college.......got a shit degree, never made more than $30k which is why I'm back in college.

College, especially today, does not equal wealth or even comfortable.

I believe Manhattan Buckeye explained the Virginia system in a previous post. If you can eat the food at the store, you can't buy it. Seems simple enough to me.

Buying condoms does not equal actually wearing condoms. I have 100 condoms and I never use them.

What we need is free birth control for everyone; which is why the only "charity" I donate to is Planned Parenthood because the world needs more women on the pill. Or we could just do the religious zealot way and say "Sex is bad, don't have it" because that's proven to work.

That'll happen when you dont have sex LOL

Anyways, was just at Speedway and saw two young dudes stocking up on slim jims and monsters with their food stamps. He had to use cash for the hot dog, though.

This is implying that you're more worried about an unwanted pregnancy than STDs which would be fucking retarded. Condoms are important for gay people to use as well. Unless you like STDs.

I don't have time to pull up statistics, but its fairly well known that the vast majority of people who obtain an STD are gay people, minorities and poor people. I am neither of those 3 and don't bother with any of those categories sexually.

It's a good thing no one would ever fuck sleeper because if he was having all the sex he supposedly has without condoms then his dick would probably be rotting off.
