The Capitol Building is about 4 blocks from the Navy Yard. Crazy in DC.

I saw a report that said police were chasing a car, cornered it and the suspect started shooting. Just happened to be in the area of the Capitol. No idea if that is true, we know how reliable these early reports are. But it sure made it sound like it didn't have a single thing to do with the Capitol.

Sounds like they cornered the car after chasing it down after the car tried to ram the gates of the White House and failed.

Radio saying the suspect tried to ram a barricade at/near WH, then fled to the Capitol. Suspect is a woman and is dead.

I have yet to even read a report that she had a gun....not saying she didn't, but has that been confirmed? Just because there were shots fired doesn't mean she fired any, if you try to ram your way onto 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue they're going to shoot you whether you have a gun or not.

On fox they said she shot from her car and the police waited for the go ahead to take action,then forced her off the road and exchanged fire.
CNN is a little different. They say she fired shots at the scene we see on TV. They don't mention the shots before though.
