I am nearly certain that I could archive/delete emails with a left swipe prior to the update. I feel like I've always done that.

I don't like apple. I don't really care if someone else does though. I just find it amusing that Apple will talk up all of these "new features" that have been on everything but iPhones for quite some time. That being said my wife has a 5 and an ipad for work. I don't care for the colors. Everything else is OK.

The biggest thing that has surprised me over the release of the new iPhones is how little the price of their stock increased.

I know you could swipe to delete. I used that feature all the time.

The market expected Apple to announce a low-end (cheap) iPhone. The iPhone 5c was that phone, but the retail price of it was well over $100 more from what most people expected.

Siri was first, but it's an unfair comparison. Siri is more geared toward voice... Where as Google Now will feed you information without you having to ask.

For example, if you turn on location services, it will eventually figure out where home and work are and give you a notification if traffic is going to impede your trip.

It even figures out the particular roads you take. It figured out that I drive to work one way, and when I go home I drive another way.

Another neat thing it does is calendar events... If you put an event in your calendar that includes a location, it will toss up a notification a little bit before your event telling you when to leave so you can arrive on time.

Don't like it, either. Switched to it on my phone, but am refusing to do it on my iPad.

In addition, can't stand the new "Notes" (which I use a lot)......... I want my legal pad back!!! The new background sucks.

There's a pretty simple hack if you allow access to the control center from the lock screen. Someone could still access your camera and photos as well as posting them to social media.

I'm keeping my 4 (3 yrs now) until they release the 6 next fall. Not enough improvements since the 4 for me to drop down coin and sign up for another contract.

I think the best thing about Apple is the level of consistency. Android when I had it had multiple freeze ups, my iPad, MacBook and iPhone have all never froze and they move at incredible speed. I mean there just is never a hiccup, IMO it will be the standard for sometime

As for the upgrade, I love the menu. Flashlight is the best feature since I use it all the time. I hated having to open the app.
That's what is great about the android widgets. for the past 5 years, all i needed was one tap on the screen and the flashlight is on....just sayin...

Without this old fuck and my small contribution to Computer Aid Drafting the firm you work for, you would be filing plan and profile sheets still.

Swipe to delete/archive used to be swipe to the right. I kept trying that with the iOS7 update but to no avail. I figured the function was removed. But alas, it was swipe to the left! Crafty sobs!

BRF: Amen!!!!! The note pad kind of added legitimacy for "taking notes".

OK.

Had anyone who upgraded to iOS 7 lost the ability to connect to wireless networks? Lots of complaints on the Apple discussion forums about it

I read that people were claiming the new animations were making them nauseous and thought to myself "nobody is that stupid" so I went to the forums to see what people were saying about it.

The 16 page thread of complaints about the wifi caught my eye first.

I guess my one visit in the past 9 months make me a frequent visitor.

Hope this helps.

I wasn't able to connect at Panera last night but my wife was and she also has 7. I've had no other issues connecting to wifi, though.
