It's been years since I tried Ichabod. I used to like it and everything else from New Holland, not so much anymore.gorocks99;1509858 wrote:Not a Pumking fan. I think it has too much of an artificial flavoring to it, to make it seem sweet and spiced. Then again, I generally don't like pumpkin beers. The only one I've found that made me want to come back is Ichabod from New Holland.
I still think Pumking is boss. I'm guess they may use lactose in it to give it that creme/sweet flavor.
Finished the Growler of the MadTree PumpCan. It was good, but not as good as the Rivertown Pumpkin.

I didn't read the thread, just noticed it's redundancy and added my comment.
Hope this helps.
Reported OP to mods so the threads can be merged.
Hope this helps too.

Just kill yourself instead. Will be much more enjoyable than drinking a bottle of Pumpkinhead.mucalum49;1499357 wrote:Saw a local craft beer shop got Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale in yesterday.

Well, at some point, drinking is drinking.BORIStheCrusher;1509965 wrote:Just kill yourself instead. Will be much more enjoyable than drinking a bottle of Pumpkinhead.
But we aren't kidding ourselves. It's not good.

Was it just me, or did it seem like stores were still trying to get rid of their Pumking from last year well into the spring this year?
I don't know that I'm interested in pumpkin ales this season. I may just try to get through as many barleywines as possible before stout season is in full swing.

Damn I love some pumking. I probably drink it a solid three months out of the year. But I don't drink much the rest of the year. IPA's, pale ales, and sour beers can fuck off.

It's good. I'm just tired of it. Seems like it was on the shelf for like 7 months this past year.friendfromlowry;1872363 wrote:Damn I love some pumking. Yeah I'm usually burnt out by Thanksgiving. I do most of my beer shopping at Kroger and it seems after the holidays they start to phase it out.O-Trap;1872385 wrote:It's good. I'm just tired of it. Seems like it was on the shelf for like 7 months this past year.
