The edge to Hiland again this year. Knights don't have the firepower to score enough to stay with Hiland. Stuckey will be a load down low for WH to handle, although Arnold will limit one of the Hawks guards on the night. But it's a pick your poison in the backcourt. Maybe Hiland will have an off night, but not likely.

After this year, I see the balance shifting to the West, but that's a long way off for now.

Good luck Knights. If things go well, I should be able to make the game.

Not sure what NCP is trying to accomplish with that post. Anyways, I think WH has looked really strong so far this season and of course the Hawks always are. I just hope it's a good game-Let's go LADY KNIGHTS!!

Perhaps with some hops, yeast, and other familiar ingredients.

Looking forward to tonight's game. Should be interesting.

I believe that WH has a winning record against Hiland all-time. Something like 14-11?

For some reason the series stopped between these two schools in the mid 80's. Why was that???

17-14 hiland at half. Both teams look poor. Refs have ruined any chance the game had to develop by calling 20 first half fouls.

Good defenses usually make teams look poor.

Refs getting paid by the foul

WH in trouble with Arnold getting fourth foul

Hiland wouldn't play WH in their glory days but now that they have the good teams they want to play the Knights

Hiland's depth and Arnold's foul trouble were the big factors. WH has to have her on the floor. Very, very nice player.

The officiating was irritating - they were calling it very tight - but other than Arnold's foul problems, I would say it helped WH. They wanted a game in the 30's and the fouls slowed the game down.

14-12 now. :)

Would be appx 24-12 if someone hadn't walked away from the series.:D

The game went as I figured, with WH not filling the hole as needed. Hiland's pressure was too much.

I'm not arguing that point... but can you honestly say that West Holmes would have wanted to play the Hawks during those years?? It wouldn't have been competitive. This is probably me looking at it from the other side, but I'd say its more that the two schools renewed the rivalry when both decided that it could be competitive and worthwhile. Both teams had had several solid years before they started playing each other again

The first half was very exciting but like you've all said Lindsey Arnold's foul trouble and the refs being awful were a factor. Lindsey Arnold is a great player and the Knights need her at all times. But one person can't be a team and I'm hoping a few other girls step up to the plate and join her. We need to get strong under the hoop and our posts to post up, box out and rebound. We also don't have the strong bench that we need to cover if someone like Lindsey Arnold needs to sit. Good effort girls time to look forward to the next game! GO KNIGHTS

Nice spin. Unfortunately, way off base sister. If using your logic, then why are the boys still playing??? I mean, Hiland isn't gaining anything by playing WH, and it has been that way for quite sometime now. They've kept playing because it is a county rivalry, and a great place to socialize with coworkers/friends from cross-county schools. Plus bragging rights for a year.

The cycle of sports always changes, and will come to these two teams in the future.
