I wont lie. I had no clue the ball was still live if the catcher catches a foul ball. I mean, I dont think I have ever seen that. But it is kind of dumb that you can be throw out, yet, if he is safe, he would have have to return to 1st base.

no he wouldn't. a "foul-tip" is a live ball.

It was the right play.

Cause Freeman is hitting .310 and Joe Smith is allowing lefties to hit about .708 against him. Add those numbers together and you have over a 100% chance Freeman gets a base hit lol.

Either that or have Smith pitch to the lefty w/ the winning run on 2nd base. Pretty sure the result would have been the same

Ugh. This team is bad in every way right now. Santana can barely throw anyone out, drubs sucks, Francona takes out good player for Lonnie fuckin Chisenhall, and pinch hits with a AAA player just called up. Disheartening.

Astrubal====Garbage. Always finds a way to help the team lose. A good shortstop with some range makes that play..at least knpcks it down.
