Too bad Latos did not get to try to go for a complete game shutout. The three batters coming up in the 9th were the three that did not have a hit in the game.

He looks a step slower

Ludwick will be alright. First game back and he hit the ball well in his first at bat despite the DP. He's at least making contact which is what I wanna see. Good things happen when you put the ball into play. If you're gonna make an out, make it a productive one.

Cards and Buccos both idle. Now 1.5 back of first place in the WC.

Just keep winning. The Bucs and Cards play 3 starting tomorrow. Good chance to gain ground if we can sweep the Cubbies.

Probably favors STL, even and PIT. Will be interesting to see if Starling Marte goes on the DL. Big series for PIT as they are reeling, especially if they want to keep the Central. I'm pretty sure the Cards and Reds aren't ready to concede the division.
