That is correct, but that bad defense is highly out of character for Hannihan. The Reds actually are one of the best in the majors at minimizing defensive liabilities on their roster. I would say over the longer term that gold glover Votto is more of a defensive liability than Hannihan. I hope that this 3 error night doesn't scar Hannihan's defensive proficiency for life.
