Michigan might be decent if their QB could stop turning the ball over.

A friend made this observation during the game. This years Michigan team = 2011 OSU team. Highly overrated and soon the wheels will fall off

Ever since Gardner got #98 he has looked and performed horribly, sans the ND game. He just doesn't seem to have his head in the game and the turnovers are mounting. If he gets back on the same page as everyone else they'll be fine.

Agree for the most part. His confidence is just shot.

However, team has more problems than just QB, most notably the interior OL. Jack Miller has got to go.

Two things are fucking this team..

-OL

-Gardner's mindset

But mostly the OL. When they protect Gardner he's pretty good, when he's pressured (and not just rushed.. dude literally gets the ball and has to run for his life) he makes bad decisions. Protect him and that goes away for the most part.

The biggest problem with UM is Al Borges. He is the single worst play caller in college football. He simply refuses to adapt his offense to the players they have. Gardner needs to be running the ball to get into rhythm. He refuses to call DG running plays until it is almost too late. Where was the zone read that worked so well last week and against ND? They ran 2 midline reads that aren't the same play but that was it. Borges has to go for this team to be as good as it can be.

If we have to rely on DG to run for success, then we have much more problems than the OC. And right now that appears to be the case.

Lol still sticking with 8-4 here. Idk I thought honestly Brady Hoke would turn Michigan back into a perennial Top 10 team but they've been extremely underwhelming lately

Call me crazy, but I'm sticking with this...and I just hope one of these losses is on 11/30.

It's fixable shit for the most part. But, they have to fix it. The OL is what really concerns me. However, we saw the first 2 games that they are capable, even with the flaws. Cut the turnovers and that would be a tremendous start.

Here's my take...

-Fitz needs to get at least 25 carries a game (this will limit Gardner's INTs hopefully, a bit at least)
-Gardner needs to have 10 DESIGNED carries a game
-Norfleet has to get more touches, dude is electric. Get him involved.
-Play action passes that will stretch the field for Gallon, Funchess, and even Norfleet/Dileo
-Until Gardner proves otherwise, no more than 20 pass attempts a game. Pound the rock and keep the clock running

meh, teams would just play the run and then DG would be forced to throw.

I can't recall from what I've watched.............does michigan do any read option?

This would never work.

They've done some with great success. But it's not what they want to do. Mostly because of our QB depth.

I'll be at the Big House this Saturday. Hopefully I'll see a better product than I have watched on TV the last couple games.

I'll be there as well. Just hoping the Gophs keep it within 3 TDs :)

Sounds like we'll see more Derrick Green moving forward.

And the OL shake up is official. Miller out of the starting line up, Glasgow to C and Chris Bryant to LG. Bryant is a BEAST and can be the best G in the Big Ten if he stays healthy (which has been his problem since he came to Michigan)

Please Michigan don't blow this game. You barely scraped out wins against Akron and UConn.
Ohio State fans need for you not to lose.

I'm sure they'll be worried about winning for you.
