My voice command works fine, haven't had any issues. I haven't used the cable feature yet because I need to pick up an hdmi to usb converter. There won't be any really great games until spring but the ones I have played on XBox one have all been fantastic. I have played Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Madden 25, Killer Instinct and BF4.

In my experience, if you learn the commands and speak with a normal voice and do the initial set-up properly, the voice commands work very well.

I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old, so when they are in the room yelling at the Xbox while I'm trying to do a voice command, it is a little hit or miss. When the kids are in bed, I would say the commands work 9 out of 10 times.

Having the cable routed through the Xbox is kind of a novelty so that you never have to change your TV input, which I like.

Before, if I'm playing a game and kind of watching a football game here and there, I'd have to change the input on my receiver to watch the game. Now, I can just say "xbox watch TV" and it will instantly switch over to the game. Or I can say "xbox snap TV" and it will display the TV on the right hand side of the screen taking up about 25% of the screen while I continue playing my game on the left side of the screen.

I know it sounds like you are just bypassing the need to hit a couple buttons on the remote, but it is just convenient.

Also, if my wife is at home with the kids and the TV or netflix/hulu/amazon video is on, I can call in with skype and it will pop up on the screen no matter what they are doing and notify them I'm calling, and then they can answer and do a skype video call, which is just a cool thing that I'm able to do now if I'm on lunch and want to see the kids for a couple minutes.

But, this comes at a cost of an extra $100, and a slightly inferior gaming machine specs wise, so if none of this interests you, the PS4 makes more sense. Like I've mentioned, I have both, and down the road I'm guessing the PS4 becomes my primary console for games...

Kind of off-topic, but I helped set up the Kinect for my little sisters 360 this weekend and it's a piece of shit.

Correct...Kinect 2 is a lot different, but I can't comment much on how it is over the Kinect 1 (I only owned Kinect 1 for a couple weeks then sold it because I knew I'd never use it).

I got if for my wife for the PS4. I don't play...but watched her play. It found her face with the camera, then she just danced...no controllers, nothing, just followed her face. I tried to get her to do the correct version of Blurred Lines, but no dice.

For those wondering about the new Kinect....it is a huge upgrade actually. There has been talk within our company of finding a way to use it as a vision system in manufacturing.

Anyone play Assassin's Creed for PS4 (or Xbox1)? I think I've played just about all of them but this one is probably the most fun.

I picked up AC4 for the PS4 a couple days ago, but just started playing last night.

I'm only about an hour in, so I can't comment on it much yet, but I like it so far.

I liked AC1 a little, but didn't finish because it got boring/repetitive, same with 2, so I totally skipped 3, but positive reviews of AC4 made me have to give it a try. I needed a break from BF4, so this will keep me busy for a couple weeks.

I'll post back some impressions after I get more into it.

I have BF4 on Xbox One, although I'm wishing I had it on PS4 at this point (PS4 is getting patches up the butt, while Xbox One has only gotten 1-2).

psn is GeorgeMcFly1955, though...

I've put in about 2-3 hours of Assassins Creed IV and I'm really liking it so far. I pretty much just got to the point where you have freedom with your own pirate ship, so I'm thinking it's going to get even better now.

I don't see my spending as much time with this as, say, Skyrim, but I think I'll get a good 30 hours or so out of it.

Picked up a PS4 Saturday. I'm loving it so far. Other than not supporting an external hard drive.
