It is mental softness that these guys warming up and throwing 16 pitches would make a pitcher back up 2 more days.

I'll grant you that, even if both give maximum effort. But I submit the BP's average effort on all his runs to 1st base is 10% to 20% less than Wright's average percent of max effort. Say David Wright averages 85% of his max effort on all runs to 1B, then I'm saying BP averages only 65% to 75% of his own max effort.Ironman92;1473510 wrote:Wright is faster to 1st than BP

I like numbers....but simply put David Wright plays the game consistently harder than Brandon Phillips, as do many.

I think david Wright is vastly overrated personally. I don't give two shits about hustle. You want denorfia back?

Sitting in my living room with me you wouldn't think that.....reading my stuff on here you would. I don't hate BP....but I don't like how ridiculously often he swings for the fences, his base running is unnecessarily below average.....what I hate is Thom blowing out my tv speakers when he makes a very good play that many other 2B make.....BP does have the great highlight plays that few other could make. People act like he is the only great fielding 2nd baseman (he and Cano by far have the most flair and style)...but for the most part every starting 2nd baseman is a darn good defensive player.
I'm not a hot dog fan between the lines....sorry. I do appreciate his HOF talent, but he'll never do enough to make it.
He is one of the best defensive 2nd baseman I have ever seen....but Alomar takes it for me.

I don't believe that....and I've never liked Denorfia but he has at least made a decent career.

Well, maybe Leyland wont fuck this up and save Mo for the 9th with a 3 run lead...
