Masterson's had a few bad starts lately so he was probably lucky to get on. Kipnis deserved it for sure. Santana was the next closest. Could've had Castro's spot, but they have pretty similar numbers.

Castro took the Astros spot. Masterson looked great the couple times I have watched and Kipnis is an excellent player who is fun to watch.

I was surprised masterson made it but kipnis definitely deserved it. Could have even made an argument that he should start over cano. 2 of the most exciting 2nd baseman's in all of baseball on the al team.

Yep....Pedroia could've started also.

Will not vote.
I've honestly never heard of 2 of them, and was only vaguely aware that David Robertson existed.

Without looking at the final numbers, I would think Santana should have been on the ballot for final vote. But, then again, I am a huge proponent of OBP.

The biggest snub to me looks like Josh Donaldson. The A's 3rd baseman is at 15 HR 57 RBI batting .322 an OPS of .922

The fact that the A's are one of the top teams in the AL and only have 1 guy (Colon....and he was selected knowing Clay Bucholz couldn't pitch in the game)

NL

Very surprised that the Tigers only got 6. Figured theyd have 9 at the very least with that sick ass mother fucking line up.

Shocking to say the least. It's okay I'm expecting them to win out this year after the break

Thought Melancon should have made it, but it's tough for set-up guys to get in over the bigger names that start and close. Happened before (I remember Evan Meek being Pittsburgh's rep one year), but it's not likely.

Anyone going to the All-Star game? I am seriously considering it, and tickets have dropped slightly in price ... about $250 for standing room only, $400 for Upper Deck.

Where is the game even at this year? I haven't seen any ads marketing the game at all. Of the major sports all star games, the MLB one is my favorite.

Shea...err...Citi Field.

Matt Harvey should start, imo.

I think I remember reading somewhere that he would, as long as the Mets change his start from Sunday (since he wouldn't be able to play in the AS game if he pitched that day, which is (I think) his regularly scheduled start.

Tigers would have more if not for the rule that each team needs a rep.

Freeman leading Puig....and a reminder of the ridiculous size of the region that really only gets to watch the Braves.

Yu Darvish on DL....will need a replacement.

HR Derby Contestants

AL Cano, Prince, Davis, Cespedes
NL Wright, CarGo, Cuddyer, Harper

Cannot believe Wright didn't go Goldschmidt or Alvarez

Or both of them, along with Brown. I don't think (other than Harper's fan appeal) that he could have done a worse job picking three other guys unless he drew three random names out of a hat.

And now the NL will dominate.

Nice, Melancon got picked to replace Locke (back tightness or something like that), so Pittsburgh gets a fifth all-star.
