He will probably split us.

I should add Asdrubal. I forgot about him since his injury lol.

But who else has been a disappointment? I mean, honestly? Kipnis and Stubbs are better than I expected. Bourn, Santana, Reynolds, Brantley (maybe even slightly better) and Chisenhall are what I expected and our bench...as a whole (and individually) has been nothing short of awesome.

And for everyone ragging on Reynolds (a day off would be great, I agree).

The guy is what he is. A terrible hitter who mashes when he connects but strikes out a ton and has a .220 average.

He is on pace for 30 HRs and 85 RBI (rough numbers, he is at 15 HRs and 47 RBI through 88 games). We ALL would have signed up for that at the start of the year...even with a .220 average and a ton of Ks.

The man strikes out once every 2.8 plate appearances. Not even King Kong Kingman, Dave Nicholson nor Adam Dunn can sniff that rate.

Just a note of interest regarding Raburn...Per plate appearance, he has hit homers at a rate of 3 to 2 over Reynolds and 2 to 1 over Santana. Yet Tito has him rotting away on the bench.

Raburn has had a really good, consistant career, sans last year's 3 month debacle.

Actually, looking at Dunn's CAREER numbers, he strikes out once every 2.9 plate appearances. This year, he has 101 strikeouts in 287 at bats, which equates to once every 2.84 at bats. I think you are blowing things out of proportion. We all knew what Reynolds was when we signed him. In fact, I didn't even like the signing, but he is what he is.

Fair enough....but why is he playing over Raburn? Reynolds is a hack in the field as well. Raburn is solid everywhere he plays.

Which is actually better than his career average of a strikeout every 2.65 at bats lol

Id put Reynolds at 3rd and have Raburn DH for now. Problem is, it is apparant that they want to see what they have in Chisenhall THIS season.

Chiz hits righties very well. Almost batting .300 vs righties. It's the lefties that give him trouble. Since being called back up he's batting around .280-.290. So I would still like to see chiz in the lineup but mainly against righties

Or even avilis vs lefties. Also on a side note it looks like Salazar will be called up this week to make a start in place of carrasco

That's a good thing for Carrasco, as he needs to get his head right. He's a helluva thrower, but he hasn't learned how to pitch yet. I just hope we don't unload him before he does.

Salazar might be making this start as a show case for a possible deal. They haven't let him go past 5 innings all year in the minors since he had tommy John 2 years ago.

A lot of people don't really know who he is. The Indians signed him back in 2006 when he was 16 years old. He has a fastball that can get up to about 98-99-100. I really thought we would have seen him in the bullpen this year instead of starting but I'm all for seeing what the kids got.

Edit- looks like he will make his 1st start Thursday vs the jays

You go from plate appearances to AB...which is a big deal with Dunn cause he's typically around the top of the league in walks.

I said plate appearances because that is what he said. However, the statistics I posted speak strictly to Dunn's at bats. Not sure why he initially said plate appearances because that includes many statistics that shouldn't go into a strikeout rate.

Well.....plate appearances include walks and Reynolds doesn't walk a whole lot (or didn't used to at least)....per AB Dunn is atrocious....per PA Dunn is still very bad but a little up the totem pole.
