Rolling Stone is the bellwether for growing up. If you still read that POS magazine post age 15 you have problems.

BTW my father must got offered a pension buy-out at his second employer (he worked at his first for 33 years and the second for 6) and my wife just got offered a buy-out (she is 39 years old).

This can't be a coincidence and is related to Obamacare costs.

Putting things in perspective.

March 21st 2010 to October 1 2013 is 3 years, 6 months, 10 days.

December 7, 1941 to May 8, 1945 is 3 years, 5 months, 1 day.

What this means is that in the time we were attacked at Pearl Harbor to the day Germany surrendered is not enough time for this federal government to build a working webpage.

Mobilization of millions, building tens of thousands of tanks, planes, jeeps, subs, cruisers, destroyers, torpedoes, millions upon millions of guns, bombs, ammo, etc. Turning the tide in North Africa, Invading Italy, D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Race to Berlin - all while we were also fighting the Japanese in the Pacific!!

And they can't build a webpage.

obamaKare: perhaps the largest fraud ever perpetrated.

On page 27 of its brief, the Justice Department makes the following remarkable assertion:
The [ACA’s] grandfathering provision’s incremental transition does not undermine the government’s interests in a significant way. [Citing, among other sources, the Federal Register.] Even under the grandfathering provision, it is projected that more group health plans will transition to the requirements under the regulations as time goes on. Defendants have estimated that a majority of group health plans will have lost their grandfather status by the end of 2013.
HHS and the Justice Department cite the same section of the Federal Register referred to by John Hinderaker, as well as an annual survey on “Employer Health Benefits” compiled by the Kaiser Family Foundation in 2012.
So, while the president has been telling us that, under the vaunted grandfathering provision, all Americans who like their health-insurance plans will be able to keep them, “period,” his administration has been representing in federal court that most health plans would lose their “grandfather status” by the end of this year. Not just the “5 percent” of individual-market consumers, but close to all consumers — including well over 100 million American workers who get coverage through their jobs — have been expected by the president swiftly to “transition to the requirements under the [Obamacare] regulations.” That is, their health-insurance plans would be eliminated. They would be forced into Obamacare-compliant plans, with all the prohibitive price hikes and coercive mandates that “transition” portends.
Obamacare is a massive fraudulent scheme. A criminal investigation should be opened. Obviously, the Obama Justice Department will not do that, but the House of Representatives should commence hearings into the offenses that have been committed in the president’s deception of the American people.

Too bad we can't recall Obama for defrauding the electorate. Just saw a poll that said if the election were held today Romney would win.

If he keeps dropping in the polls, I wonder how many Repubs are going to campaign partially on impeachment.

Not that Biden doesn't make Obama unimpeachable :)

At least 10% of the people in this country, on the right and the left each, are just incredibly stupid AND ignorant (probably another 10% that are just stupid OR ignorant)...Their political views are simply cultish.

And that's why this country is messed-up because we're letting those dipshits decide our elections and dictate policy.

Seeing that picture reminded me that there was a news story a couple weeks ago about the girl who is pictured. Apparently she was getting a lot of threats (I believe death threats) from being on the site. When she agreed to do the shoot, the only thing she knew is that it would used on some gov't websites.

Absurd. People are just absurd.

Regardless of one's political views, our federal government should live up to the expectations of the rest of us. That means no special exceptions for Harry Reid's staffers. If Obamacare is great for all of us, it should great for them. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

Well, having meetings would make it harder for Obama to claim that he didn't know anything.

good god almighty....YOU CAN'T BE DENIED COVERAGE - the "invincibles" will just pay the fine and then buy insurance if they need ACL surgery or something.

LMAO - their OWN title "Forget about the price tag"...But here's the kicker, this contest winner is a law school graduate receiving MEDICAID!!!

I just found out the other day Sebelius is from Cincinnati and went to the school my wife works at and we live across from. This woman has probably walked on the sidewalk in front of my house. I feel like I need to burn my house down.

Awful.

And yeah, if I'm a young adult without employer-provided health insurance I'm opting out and just paying the fine. If I end up getting cancer or something I'll sign up because "pre-existing conditions."

Exactly, the whole reason behind denying pre-existing conditions was for this whole reason. If someone gets diagnosed with cancer they can't then sign up for health insurance to pay for it, bypassing paying for health insurance their whole lives up to that point.

I had to go through a lot of paperwork for my wife when I switched jobs to prove we had continuous coverage since she had some chronic health issues that spanned the career transition.

If we did not have continuous coverage, they would not cover anything with her issues.

It freaking makes sense, but the bleeding hearts don't understand how the real world works. They don't believe that people would "take advantage" of the fact that they could never pay a premium, develop something like cancer, and then go sign up for health insurance and effectively make everyone else pay for it. No, that would never happen in a perfect liberal utopia!

Harry Reid is still trying to sell, "If you like it, you can keep it." (On a Las Vegas channel on 12/3/13)
