Been crushing lower body stuff and cardio lately. I'm headed to Colorado in two weeks for some snowboarding. I'm somewhat worried. I went to a shit mountain outside of NYC 2 weeks ago and my legs were fucked at the end of the day. I've never been out west and I'm thinking 3 days on those long runs and bowls could destroy me.:-/

Back into it hard. I'm thinking about starting two-a-days next week for the month of March. I have the time right now, so I want to see where I can get.

Been some tough runs in this cold. Have had to cut a number a bit shorter than I had wanted to but have stepped up the lifting. Startn to like lifting at home in the basement. For the longest time i could never lift at home, too distracting, but now I love it.

Going to try and sleep without a blanket for a couple of weeks and see if I get any results.

I believe this works however I hate being cold. Sex burns calories too. So just do that before bed and you can sleep warm...Commander of Awesome;1707842 wrote:Anyone hear try this?

I chose this location. I can handle it.
If you have trouble burning fat, I'm sure you can find some better solutions other than purposely making yourself cold while sleeping.
You work out AM religiously, correct? If you fasted you'd be killin it in the cal burning game.

Yeah I fast. I try to eat dinner by 630pm, work out at 6 am. Try and not eat breakfast the next day until 10 am. That helped me drop about 5 lbs I've been trying to get rid of but I still got some excess pudge on my sides that I'm trying to get rid of.Automatik;1707861 wrote:I chose this location. The cold night thing works, I know idiot wrestlers that naturally drift a pound overnight (we all do) who will sleep with their window open and no covers and drift 2-3 lbs instead of just the 1.
That's what they told me anyway, I can't verify since it wasn't me or my kid.
I absolutely HATE running out in the cold, but may give it a try for a week or so to see if that works.

wrestlers would know. If you ever want to know how to cut weight ask a wrestler. The will power and mental toughness of most of them is unbelievable.jmog;1708319 wrote:The cold night thing works, I know idiot wrestlers that naturally drift a pound overnight (we all do) who will sleep with their window open and no covers and drift 2-3 lbs instead of just the 1.

I run out in the cold often. If it is 10 below I dont run though. Layer enough and ya stay warm so I am not sure if that really matters much. Thing is...when you run how long are you really out in the cold? Plus....with the snow/ice I just cannot push it as much and that doesnt help much.jmog;1708319 wrote:The cold night thing works, I know idiot wrestlers that naturally drift a pound overnight (we all do) who will sleep with their window open and no covers and drift 2-3 lbs instead of just the 1.

Man..the burn feels goooooood! Had to stop last week.....the 'sweat/tear ducts' started to freeze at the corner of my eyes!Sonofanump;1708348 wrote:Fuck that, I don't like the way air under 30 degrees feels on my lungs when running outdoors, treadmill until late March for me.
If I ever use a treadmill it is strictly for inclined HIIT sprints, other than that I cannot stand those fucking things.

I live in such a rural area that there are not many places to do hills.

I am not going to crank up a treadmill at 18 to do sprints. Does not sounds rational.thavoice;1708531 wrote:Inclined on the local basketball court?

When you crank up the incline to do hills you dont go nearly as fast.Sonofanump;1708555 wrote:I am not going to crank up a treadmill at 18 to do sprints. Does not sounds rational.

12 is about the highest I will go on a treadmill for a "sprint". This is not because I can't go faster, but all one needs to do is search youtube for treadmill disasters to see why sprinting faster on a treadmill is a bad idea.Sonofanump;1708555 wrote:I am not going to crank up a treadmill at 18 to do sprints. Fanastic snow runs this weekend! When there is a lot of snow on the ground and it is still coming down it is so quiet and peaceful out!
Later in the day went to the "hill" for the stepson to sled......found a good workout on the way there and back. Put the rope around my shoulders and ran down there, and back, pulling him. Man that wasnt easy!
