Worst part about morning workouts is the getting up. Once you do you are good to go and you are right you always feel great after. I switched to mornings before work about three months ago. Just keep getting up!

I think I'm in the really weird class where I love working out at night. I'm not a morning person because I always seem to stay up late at night, so doing it in the morning just wouldn't be enjoyable at all. And I tend to only go out 2-3 times a week, so any night I'm at home, I exercise for 1-2 hours around that 9-11 p.m. zone and then unwind for bed.

It's completely bizarre and wouldn't work for most people, but for whatever reason, it's my niche for regularly working out and being happy about things.

My biggest battle right now too much shit. Mornings are tough because I stay up late due to my gf working 2nd shift. After work is tough because I teach for 7.5 hours and then coach for 1.5-2.5. I always want to go home first to take care of my 2 dogs. And then I start losing motivation.

It's all about routine and I don't have one yet.

Not that bizarre. That is my ideal time as well, however kids and schedule if I am going to get the workouts in right now it has to be morning. It is a struggle for me, but I am getting it done.

I love working out. My biggest problem is eating right. Im a big boy muscle wise, just my abdomen isn't ripped like it should be. I do 200 reps on the abs 3 times a week. I just refuse to give up my pizza and beer. I run every other day, about 1.5 miles, not to shabby. Though I prefer to run outside compared to on a treadmill.

I agree finding time can be the most difficult. Having an hour at lunch to go hit the gym is great for me. Having that allows me the freedom of still getting in a second workout at night if I want, if not not big deal.

I'm the same...either right after work or after 9pm. I miss the days at OSU's RPAC...I would go there on the late night on weekends to deter myself from getting black out drunk.

I tried the early morning routine, I can't do it.

Sounds like you need more excuses.

Have plenty of excuses as I have said them. First post focused on the main excuse, I'm being lazy.

Thanks though!

Yeah, the "always eating right" thing can be a hassle for me. I love my beer and when I'm hanging out with friends drinking, there's a good chance fried foods and pizza will be following.

All I can do is basically decide that when I'm at home relaxing is to not drink, regulate my diet and not eat any snacks, so I can at least say I had 4-5 great days and 2-3 with a few breaks.

All of those crunches and ab workouts won't do shit if you're diet is garbage.

I'm in a bad rut now, inhaling thai and other take out wayyyy too often. It's not that difficult to clean up your diet. It just takes preparation and discipline. The initial start is the hard part for me, but once I get it going the routine comes natural.

I've been nailing my nutrition for the last few months, allowing my self a day on the weekends to have whatever. You're right though, if you want to see abs it's about what your putting in your body. Mine are looking quite nice right now by the way!!! HAHA

Just got back from a 6 mile run at a decent pace for me... when I walked inside I noticed that my sweat had frozen on my hair and had ice sickles all around my head. Fucking cold night.

No, but I'm going to try. I keep thinking that I should try it. The rec center also has different classes every day that I want to try just to change things up like cardio/weights, TRX, cycling, etc. I'm getting closer to that conclusion about the elliptical as well.

I have cleaned up my diet alot in the last month or so, and have started doing T25 (not everyday) when I can. Just trying to lose some weight prior to a July wedding. T25 is way harder than I expected, and I am not a fat slob to start with.

I don't know if you guys have heard of herbalife, but I do a shake in the morning and afternoon to replace those meals monday through friday. It actually works if you do it right. At night I have whatever I want as long as it regulated. After my back surgery I lost 30 pounds using the herbalife so it does work. It has plenty of protein and important stuff in it.

Did some intervals on the treadmill yesterday. Not sure if it is to the OC standards, but it got my heart rate way up, and made me sweat my ass off:

Yesterday, I did about 2.25 miles. I progressed each lap. MPH for my laps: 4, 6, 7, 8, 4, 6, 7, 8/9, 4.

I absoutely hate running. But April 16th I leave for the Ohio State Highway Patrol academy (again) and thats all we do is run down there. So I need to suck it up and keep running. Meh. We have to do a mile and half in 13:08. Not bad, before back surgery I was doing it in 11 minutes or so.
