Man oh man....I have a tough decision now...Given the price difference, I'm probably leaning towards Ps4 now....I do like the idea of Kinect for the kids, but other than that....

Don't think they mentioned anything on this.

I'm still leaning the XBox One over PS4. I might've switched to PS4 if they kept free online play but without it I'm thinking not. I don't buy used games (having only bought two games in the past two years overall), have good internet, and the integration with TV is looking good for me as a big sports fan. I don't care for Kinect but don't actively hate motion controls, either. I can definitely see why more hardcore gamers would prefer the PS4.

I am so split. I am a hardcore 360 fan but the PS4 just seems better. Think I'll switch.

I doubt I purchase either at launch, but I am def leaning towards PS4. For gaming, I always thought that the 360 was head and shoulders above the ps3 experience, but their price points are significantly different and the used game thing is horseshit.

Singleplayer

And the return to the BF2 roots....Commander mode is back.

Looks like game developers are really pushing the tablet. With you being able to jump in a game with a tablet and fuck around. It marries casual gaming to hardcore. I guess I don't really know how to feel about it until I see it done. The Division gameplay Ubisoft showed was nuts. They didn't really spoonfeed it, but the guy that comes in with the drone to help out is just some douche on a tablet. Hoping it comes to PC.

The Division looked amazing, not a big fan of Tom Clancy games but I will be checking that one out.

Sony threw down the gauntlet. I prefer the Xbox controller so much more, though. I don't know what to do.

You can buy a freaking Xbox like controller for the PS console >> http://www.target.com/p/ps3-pro-elite-wireless-controller-playstation-3/-/A-13217769?ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001&AFID=Google_PLA_df&LNM=%7C13217769&CPNG=Electronics&kpid=13217769&ci_gpa=pla&ci_sku=13217769 #QuitYourWhining

The new ps4 controller appears to place the trigger in a more convenient spot making it a sure winner over the Xbox in my eyes. That was the only thing the 360 had on ps3 IMO

Serious gaming will require a PC/console. A tablet doesn't have the horsepower to play games, and will likely NEVER have the control scheme of current consoles.

The new Smash Bros. looked pretty neat, but I don't know if that's enough to get me to shell out cash for a Wii U.

I agree, but they are integrating it into the hardcore games, as you can see in The division video I posted. Someone on a tablet is running the drone. And in the BF4 video showing the commander, you can see some skirt in a diner commanding on some server from a tablet.

It still won't catch on, the same way hardcore gamers/developers didn't flock to the Wii. Developers made games for the Wii, but it was way easier to play FPS/sports games on a 360/PS3 than it was anything else.
