I can't remember the last time I wore a condom because I simply won't have sex with a woman who isn't on birth control. There's 2 reasons behind this, #1 being I don't trust condoms and they suck so what's the point anyways? #2, a woman on birth control signals to me that she goes to get things checked out down there on the regular and actually gives a shit what enters her body.
And you know they're on the pill because they tell you they are? Because they have it in their bathroom when you go to their place (so they don't know where you live

)?
Tell me you don't just take every woman's word for it. You don't want some gold-digger looking for an easy payday a la child support.

This is a pet peeve for me.
I was speaking with a woman the other day, the leader of a local youth center where I am involved. I, and several others, were raising an issue with one of the guardians (grandmother of several kids in the programming). The woman improperly medicates the kids, sometimes keeps them up all night, leaves them home alone (they are both under six years old, and one has an IQ of 63 ... both were crack babies), and apparently doesn't feed them regularly.
I said we needed to do something. #1, we needed to have a frank conversation with the grandmother to ensure the boys get better treatment. #2, if she continues in this pattern, we need to call CPS.
The woman to whom I was speaking replied with this ... I shit you not: "Well, we need to tread lightly. We've built a good relationship with her, and we don't want to make her upset. Plus, you have to remember that all those things are part of the culture."
No, we don't need to tread lightly. Not at the further risk of these kids who, if we continue to do the same thing we've been doing, will perpetuate this cycle! If we've built a good relationship with her, then I think it's okay for us to have a frank conversation with her. If it's not, then we haven't built that good a relationship at all.
And fuck the culture. The culture is part of what is screwed up. I'm not saying we vilify everyone who has grown up in it, but hey, maybe we should try to CHANGE the fucked up parts of the culture ... STARTING WITH THE KIDS WHO DON'T YET PERPETUATE IT!
This woman does love the people, but sometimes I want to slap her and maybe get it into her head that loving someone does not equal enabling them. Fucking A!

And I know that around here, a single generation of that being enforced would go a LONG way toward people wrapping up.
