Quarterfinals are live on NBCSN all day today, the first one just wrapped up - US beats the defending champs Russia (including Ovechkin) 8-3 to advance to the semis.

Finland vs Slovakia, 11am
Canada vs Sweden, 2pm

Should be a good rest of the tourney. A lot of young guys on the US roster, not immediately recognizable names for a lot of people, but got a feeling they will be soon.

US will play Switzerland in the semifinals, they just finished off the Czechs 2-1. Switzerland is 8-0-0 in the tournament thus far.

In other words, Ovie's starting his international play with the same gusto that he ended his NHL play for the season. Good to see.

But honestly, this Canada-Sweden game has been really good.
