who'd have thought Michael Brantley would be the crown jewel of the C.C. Sabathia deal?

It sure helps to have Miami, Houston, the Chicago's and a few other underachievers (LAA, LAD, TOR) all being so bad.
Crazy to me how bad Toronto has been...

I remember them wanting Milwaukee to make the playoffs or something like that...so they could get him. I also remember that laporta want their first choice. Who was the shortstop (I think) that was Milwaukee's prized prospect?

Kinda. It was him if the brewers made the playoffs. It was gamel or someone else if they didn't. So, he was a ptbnl on paper, but he was already chosen by us pending the brewers success with CC.
Alcides Escobar...who now just kills us with the royals lol. Mat gamel was the other guy who we were debating on.wes_mantooth;1442140 wrote:I remember them wanting Milwaukee to make the playoffs or something like that...so they could get him. My favorite part of yesterdays win was knowing that lil shit sitting behind the dish in his white Tigers hat who kept doing "father, son, holy ghost" when Valverde was pitching, went home crying.
