Lucky to escape this one.. Tribe wins 7-6, but bullpen was wild. Almost wasted a terrific start by Ubaldo.

Ubaldo was very good again tonight. I realize they were up 5 after 6, but why wasn't he brought out for the 7th inning? Especially since Pestano isn't available. his pitch count couldn't have been that high and he was breezing.

He only had 93 pitches. It was strange to pull him so early.

^^^pitch count was 93. Yeah...I think he could have gone 1 more.
This was a big win and confidence booster. I like our chances tomorrow with Zac Mac on the hill.
Gotta give props to ubaldo...again! AND I like the way he rocked those stirrup socks...LOL.
If Kipnis/Cabrerra turn that DP...that would have been a top ten play of the year.

Probably the play of the year. That was a phenomenal play by Kipnis. His behind the back flip was perfect.HitsRus;1441695 wrote:^^^pitch count was 93. Yeah...I think he could have gone 1 more.

What a terrible night for a baseball game. 3 hours and 48 minutes in sub 50 degree weather with on and off again rain is not cool at all. The end was a little exciting, and some Indians fan got beat up for a foul ball so it wasn't all bad

Great baseball game. The only thing that bothers me is that on a night like that Detroit drew 41000 fans.
Several key 2 out rbi hits were all critical as the game went on. Ubaldo needed to pitch the 7th inning....or at least start it. I would not have pitched to Cabrera in the 9th. Percentages or no percentages, I load the bases and try to make Fielder beat me. Yes I know that puts the potential winning run on second. Don't care.
This team needs a healthy Pastano...dodgong bullets w/out him.

Look at the lineup the tigers put out. Of course they had 41,000 tickets sold. There wasnt 41,000 people there. But you have to give Cleveland fans time. This is the first time since dick sold the team they went out and got a few free agents. The fans will slowly come back.

HaHa...it might go down in history as "the greatest double play never turned"Probably the play of the year. That was a phenomenal play by Kipnis. His behind the back flip was perfect.
(alluding to Brad Komminsk "greatest catch never made") does anybody remember that one?

^^^Yep...he climbed the fence and caught it, falling over the wall. He lost it when he hit the ground on the other side.

Whole lower bowl was full, upper deck was a little spotty. They all cleared out by the 6th basically thoughbases_loaded;1441712 wrote:Look at the lineup the tigers put out.
