Ok, but that doesn't mean he called him the "N" word. However, if he did, then he should have his tix revoked and not be allowed back in the arena. However, this still doesn't give Smart the right to shove him, and he should be reprimanded for it. Period.

Who said anything about calmly? Smart can get crazy and yell and scream all he wants, but keep your hands off of this idiot.

He shoved him. It's not like he started a brawl like the malace in the palace. If someone is dropping the N bomb on you, you have all the right in the world to put your hands on him. Just my opinion. That shit doesn't belong in 2014.

And LJ soon as the guy said the word, smart was the bigger man. And that didn't change by confronting the guy about it.

Anyone who reacts to words physically has a lot of growing up to do.

Because ultimately words hurt you so much right? You are basically saying that hurt feelz = violence.

So if a random person walks up to you and calls your wife horrible things and then your kid a bunch of horrible things, you're not going to react physically? Doubt it LJ but I'm smart enough not to get into these things with you because you're the worst person on earth to have an argument with. So I'm done responding to you.

Anyone who yells the N word at someone they don't know personally, has a lot of growing up to do.

I agree with you. Regardless of what that guy did or didn't say, he's probably trash and has a history of this. Anyone, but especially his age, who gets off by insulting younger players needs to GTFO. The only reason he said it was because he's in an arena surrounded by security.
BUT, you know the NCAA isn't going to think that way. Like I said, the players probably get called every name in the book, including racial slurs, so imagine if they went charging into the stands every time it happened. I think this was Smart's snapping point on what's been a downward spiral season lately. But by not disciplining Smart they'd just be enabling it to happen again.

Agree 100%. If every time someone called someone a "bad name" or insulted a spouse there was a physical altercation we'd all be in prison or dead.

It wasn't just a bad name. Let's not pretend like the guy was called a jerkface. We all know what the N word means. You can't say it to someone. If you do, expect to be pushed, shoved, or hit.

You are married to an Asian woman right? If someone comes up to you guys on the street and calls your wife a chink who should die, you're not just gonna walk away lol come the fuck on

My wife isn't Asian, but we've heard racial epithets, and yes....we will address them with words and if they want to escalate it we walk away or call authorities. What good does it do to escalate? If i win a fight I'm not winning anything really, just some piece of self-satisfaction? That isn't worth anything. If I lose I go to jail or get my ass kicked.

In what scenario does violence end up in a win for us? LJ was 100% correct. It doesn't matter if you're called a chink, a honkey or the dreaded n-word. It is just a word.

Okay I'm done with this retarded discussion. Back to bball

Watching Wisconsin msu right now, I would love for the cavs to get adrein Payne. Not sure where he's projected but it'd be tough to pass on him in the top 5, even with the loaded class.

I'm not, because I'm an adult with a ton to lose. Those words won't take away my house, my job, the custody of my kids. A felony assault charge can. There is more to life than hurt feelz

Payne turns 23 in a week. Name the last 23-year old big man draftee who did great in the NBA?

Also, you don't waste top 5 picks on players of that age. It's the extreme exception that it turns out good. I'd draft Isaiah Austin or Willie Cauley-Stein over Payne, and both of those guys have serious developing to do.

Lol why?

Guy can shoot from anywhere and is a beast athletically.

I should probably look at his nba draft profile though before saying any of this lol I have no idea where he's projected to go

Lol I wouldn't touch Austin with a 10 foot pole. And cauley stein? He went like a month of the season where he literally put up nothing.

Draft Express I'd say is pretty reliable. More so than the other often linked site. They have their bigs as...

1. Joel Embiid
12. Willie Cauley-Stein
20. Adreian Payne
31. Mitch McGary
33. A.J. Hammons

The other site has Payne at 24th...

I do agree, he's a great college player, but his age and also his injury history definitely limits his draft stock.

Yeah just looked at both of those. Okay so maybe not top 5 lol I didn't realize he grades out that low.

I think he's going to be a really good pro though.
