I'm not all that fond of players who employ the Reggie Miller maneuver, but KU got away with a foul on that three-point attempt. Could've been a big turning point in this game to cut the deficit to six. As it stands, KU now leads by 11.

For a team that lives and dies by the three, Iowa State's strategy tonight of not taking any of them is pretty perplexing.

Was flipping back and forth a lot with the Syracuse game, so didn't see all of the shots Iowa State was taking. Stats say they are 3-of-21 from beyond the arc. So they are dying from it. Also not making any free throws and the crowd hasn't been a factor for the entire second half.

Disappointing game. Really felt it would provide a classic finish. Bad night for hoops.

Kansas might not be a 1 seed, because of early season losses. But, if Embiid and Wiggins play aggressive like they are today...unbeatable. 1-2 picks in the NBA draft, and they are showing it tonight.

Just threw another 20 on Kansas at 8/1 before it gets lower after tonight, haha.

Wiggins didn't have an amazing game, but I must say, he came out looking for his shot, driving to the hoop and trying to establish the offense early.

Embiid is what he is. It's going to take a team with someone who can go man up on him, get under his skin a bit and make him play a complete game. If your trying to stop him with a 6'8/6'9 center, good luck.

Honestly, I'd love to see a Cauley-Stein/Embiid match-up where both guys are actually allowed to play and ticky tack fouls aren't called. It's very rare to see big men who move as fluidly as those guys do. You have many others who have more refined skills, but everything else is just rare talent.

I agree hope we get to see one come March.

I was just getting caught up with this thread and saw his post and my first thought was: "Well, I know why Kansas won now!"

It would make sense. Arkansas loses to Georgia. They blow a home game against Florida on Saturday. Hogs were favored in both games. If they lose at BWA to UK, that would mean they lost both the UF and UK games a home, which in a bad SEC, really kills their chances to get high quality wins.

Yeah, I'm thinking with Razorbacks' backs against the wall and without any particular motivation for UK, besides winning the SEC, it might happen. Apparently Cal was pretty aggressive at practice Sunday, though, after the unimpressive win at Vandy.

They seriously reviewed that elbow, and concluded that the elbow didn't hit the player? that the ball did? hahaa whaaat

So tired of this elbow rule bullshit taking so damn long to figure out. The officials just stopped the game and went full on United Nations Summit at mid-court for 10 minutes. Most of this shit is simply the result of basketball plays. Fuck.

75 minutes to play a half. This reffing is atrocious.

It's worse than atrocious. The officiating couldn't be any worse if Nolan Richardson were out there holding a whistle.

That Poythress dunk was strong. He had a great block on a 3-on-1 earlier in the game that might have made Top 10, too, but they blew the whistle.

This game can't get over soon enough. I am probably watching my last Kentucky-Arkansas game at Bud Walton Arena. I've got money on the Cats, but the cooking that is going on there tonight is so blatant there should be an investigation. UK getting brutalized every time they touch the ball. The officials have done everything to win this game for the Hogs except for shoot the baskets.

Haha and they call a block on that. Why wouldn't they.

Worst display of officiating I've ever seen, and that's not hyperbole.

That was a clutch shot. I know Cauley was kind of shifting, but he got ran the hell over.

He was in place before the Arkansas player lifted off and a foot outside the box. Then got trucked. That play epitomizes how miserable it has been to watch this game for anybody with a vested interest in the visiting team.

I thought the block call was correct, but then again I am not a UK fan and don't have money on the Cats lol

Haha, yeah, take the money out of the equation and I'd probably agree with you. It was pretty close. Overall, though, the officiating has been as one-sided as I've seen.

That was a foul there on Kentucky? Lol. If anything, UK was out of bounds. There was no foul. No way can UK win this game.
