As it stands right now, with the holdovers from Stevens' tenure, the Bulldogs are 0-4 in the Big East. He has a very steep climb ahead of him in order to compete in the upper ranks of this conference for years to come.
I don't think Butler would've left the Horizon if they knew Stevens was leaving.

Definitely not. Butler seemed utterly shocked by Stevens' departure, as if they planned the entire future of the program around him and he was going to retire there. That was absurd thinking, considering how hot a commodity he was. He was leaving as soon as one of his dream jobs opened up, and that turned out to be the Celtics.

Wichita, from 18 down, with the ball and shot clock off. Down 64-63.

Cool. Thanks.

Game heading to overtime. Surprised this wasn't on Full Court, but didn't see it there.

One of those ESPN3 exclusives I guess.

Yeah, and my internet provider is one of those that doesn't carry it. ESPNews will go live again, though, if it's close, which is nice. One would never know that, however..

Iowa-Ohio State, SMU-Louisville, Colorado-Washington, Stanford-Oregon and Arizona State-UCLA are all on the docket today.

The first game is the only one that truly excites me, but the Larry Brown vs. Rick Pitino matchup is sort of interesting.

I like all those picks.

SMU is hot right now and one of the better rebounding teams in the country. I think Larry Brown will be amped up for his first really "big stage" game at SMU against a Hall-of-Famer on the other bench. The more I think about it, the more excited for the game I am. Hope it lives up to those expectations.

Moreira being out with the knee injury hurts SMU. That's their one and only advantage over UL. It's showing. Stangs getting spanked...

SMU is gonna get hammered today -- Louisville's pressure defense has been outstanding -- but Iowa putting up a decent showing. Hopefully, one of the two games ends up with a good finish. Not a lot of games today.

See, I forgot about that. I even checked over some previews and stuff and still glossed over that fact. Oh well. Even with him, I'm not sure they would've been able to handle the Card pressure today. It's been pretty effective.

Got damn it, SMU. Please cover here. It was a six-point game with 90 seconds, now back to nine.

The Mustangs have played impressive in the second half at Louisville, though. Nice effort for an undermanned squad.

Creighton and Xavier locked in good one on CBS Sports Network. Jays lead it 33 to 30 with about 4 minutes left in the first half.

Dougie carrying the load with 15 points and 3-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc, as Grant Gibbs remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

UDub up 15 on No. 15 Colorado in Seattle. There is so much talent at Lorenzo Romar's disposal that it was almost inconceivable that the Huskies could be as bad as they were to start the season. Single-digit losses to San Diego State and Arizona, as well as a good showing against UConn before succumbing by 12, have provided a boost, it appears.

Washington is 10-6 and needs to finish the year strong to secure Romar's job.

God dammit. Sounds like Dinwiddie is done for the year with a knee injury.

Stanford at Oregon should be a great flip during the nfl game. It's on FS1, I think Gus is on the call.

Oh fuck. I have money on that game. And with Gus on the call...

Edit: He's not on the call, thank God. The Rule of Gus is actually something I put into consideration if I know he's calling the game lol

Stanford sucks.

They shouldn't, but they do.

Gus is not on the call. I think he stays close to the east coast for the games on FS1, since he does Knicks games also. But I could've sworn someone said that he had this game. Oh well. Should still be good.

The Cardinal have been pretty competitive all year, losing pretty much all of their games by 5 or less points save for BYU (lost by 9) and Pitt (got blown out). They did beat UConn in Storrs. I do agree, though, that Stanford is not as good as it should be. Johnny Dawkins has failed. And he probably needs fired. Good guy, but too mild mannered and not intense or driven enough or something. Not really sure. He just doesn't have the components of a major head coach.

Stanford up four at the half in Eugene. Haven't watched much of Oregon this year, but they appear to share the same score-more-points-than-the-other-team philosophy as their football team. Absolutely no defensive effort.

They've given up a tremendous amount of points in their last two games (196) and 41 at the half today. Somebody get Dana Altman a Bob Knight video.

Oregon is awesome to watch on offense, in terms of fun and flair. But they don't stop anybody...when they win it's cause the opponent just missed more often.

They also have some guys, Artis and Dotson, who hurt the team more then help. Moser and Young should get as many shots as they were before those guys returned. Instead, those 2 takes like 15-20 a game. It should be each taking 5 and Young and Moser with 5 more each.
