A Coshocton woman has died from injuries she received last week during a dog attack at her home.
Rachael Honabarger, 35, of 41900 County Road 23, was attacked by the family dog on Tuesday and taken to Grant Medical Center where she died on Saturday, according to Coshocton County sheriff reports and a Grant spokeswoman.
Contacted at his home yesterday, Russell Dreher, Coshocton County’s dog warden, declined to answer questions.
Dreher previously had said the woman was attacked by the family’s 3-year-old German shepherd, according to the Coshocton Tribune. He credited an unidentified neighbor for pulling the dog off the woman and placing it in a pen.

We all know if someone posted a thread on German Shepards LJ would immediately start regaling us with the story about how he invented the breed after farming in the Alps during his younger years.

Hanabarger is a jewish name, so this is obviously a hate crime. Those damn Nazi's just can't let it go.
Maybe they should have had a French or a Brittish sheperd.

Well, a co-worker just got a beagle/german shepherd mix. And she's both stupid and at least always complaining about how she doesn't have gas/food money.
You are right.

On the other hand, you have dogs like Sgt. Stubby:said_aouita;1441534 wrote:Even bomb sniffing Government employees who are German Sheppard's can't be trusted.

Sgt. Stubby had top-notch records, such as the following:
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergeant_StubbySergeant Stubby (1916 or 1917 – April 4, 1926), was the most decorated war dog of World War I and the only dog to be promoted to sergeant through combat. America's first war dog, Stubby, served 18 months 'over there' and participated in seventeen battles on the Western Front. He saved his regiment from surprise mustard gas attacks, found and comforted the wounded, and even once caught a German spy by the seat of his pants (holding him there until American Soldiers found him). Back home his exploits were front page news of every major newspaper.
