To answer your quesion directly as it relates to me, I have questioned the presence of the Holy Spirit through Word saturating the bread and wine making the ability to commune or become one with God during the sacrament of Holy Communion. You know not what you speak for my family's place of worship uses bread as opposed to a mass produced wafer. The ordained minister is hardly random and has no record of federal offenses or accusations. You might be confused with identifying a "random" Catholic church mass with my post.

They may say that but as a, Christian I disagree. You shouldn't succumb to anything sinful, however. It should always be a fight to avoid anything sinful in nature.

i feel that they probably did try, i dont think anyone chooses to be gay, but rather they were born that way. so im not sure if i can qualify that as a sin, if that is the way GOD created them?

I don't know if they are fighting hard enough to avoid sin or not. There's no way for me to know that. I certainly don't shun anyone and I don't think "believing in the Holy Spirit more" wouldn't necessarily keep them from being gay.

i honestly dont know if it is or not, but im open to that thought certainly. with the myriad of medical conditions and birth defects it seems likely that some percentage of out population could be born a male but with a female body or vise versa. you could also be born with some type of brain mutation that causes you to like the same sex. one thing im sure of is that you cant "fight" it. i absolutely beleive that if you are born gay you wont be able to change that no matter how hard you try.

I don't necessarily disagree with anything you have said. I do, however, believe that nothing you said matters with regard to sin.

well if i conceded that it in fact was a sin and its not different, then why would you not lend support to me if i was gay? if its not different then why shouldnt i be allowed to marry? that being said i bet jason collins believes that as much as he tried to fight it with many women, he finally had to admit to himself that he was born gay. this realization probably leads him to believe that it is then not a sin, but living the way god created him.

If it is me you are seeking "support" from it would have to be me that concluded it was not a sin.

We all live the way God created us...in sin. The point is not that anyone of us is better than the other or more sinful than another but that we should be in a constant state of being closer to God and avoiding sin.
