If he wasn't in the boat the whole time. Wonder where he was that he was able to be in the area that cops say they searched completely and then was able to move to the boat.

Plus maybe the news was right, they lifted all the bans on leaving houses and said get life back to normal and he heard it and tried to jet. So they drew him out.

Or they didnt search the boat before. Not all houses/propertys were searched.

That looks like a good sized boat, big enough to have a cabin, though sounds like it might be a Whaler (so completely open)
