You can follow Jeff Goodman's running list of 2013 transfers here: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/blog/eye-on-college-basketball/22007798/transfer-list-first-edition

Notable Transfers

Sheldon McClellan
, Texas, SO, 6-4 shooting guard, 13.5 ppg
Trey Zeigler, Pittsburgh, JR, 6-5 guard/forward, 16.3 ppg (at Central Michigan)

At this point, there aren't a lot of exciting transfers available, but I'm sure there will be more. Ryan Harrow and Rodney Purvis were some bigger names, but have already chosen new schools.

Potential Grad Transfers

Corey Jefferson, Baylor, 6-9 forward, 12.8 ppg, 8.1 rpg
Kadeem Bates, Providence, 6-10 forward/center, 14.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg
Wally Judge, Rutgers, 6-9 forward, 7.1 ppg, 5.4 rpg
Eugene Teague, Seton Hall, 6-9, 11.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg
Victor Rudd, South Florida, 6-9 forward, 12.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg
Jordan Morgan, Michigan, 6-8 forward, 4.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg
Travis Wear, UCLA, 6-10 forward, 10.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg
David Wear, UCLA, 6-10 forward, 7.1 ppg, 5.0 rpg
Tony Criswell, Missouri, 6-9 forward, 5.2 ppg, 4.8 rpg

The above list of potential grad transfers was gathered from a Duke site and purely speculative at this point.

Six players leaving Tulane to transfer. How does that happen?

Among the departed is shooting guard Ricky Tarrant, who would be a good get for anybody. The kid is extremely streaky, but I've seen him play several times, and when he's on, he's on. Good slasher and has sniper range. He will shoot and hit from anywhere on the floor. A great court spacer.

I could easily see him ending up at a good mid-major, such as UNLV, Butler, Wichita State or the like.

What does Rakeem Buckles do? He transferred out of Louisville to play for Rick Pitino's son at Florida International, and now Richard Pitino is gone.

He's already sat out his transfer year and is going to be a fifth-year senior next season. The kid is from Miami Beach, so the move to FIU was probably as much a decision based on geography as it was playing for a certain coach. But, there's no doubt that Richard Pitino had a role in the decision and it probably wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Buckles to follow Little Pitino to Minnesota or perhaps go to Miami as a grad student and play immediately (so long as he is on pace to complete his undergrad on time).

I love the site and check it regularly, but they haven't updated since the middle of the season. See list for the players that are missing some part(all or a semester) of next season, only 6 names.

Plain and simple. Buckles got forcibly removed due to a scholarship crunch.

The NCAA needs to crack down on the rules. Trey Zeigler at 3 schools during his career. SMH

So, Little Pitino stepped in to make the problem "disappear." Gotchya. I bet he would like to kill the entire Pitino family now.

Had Buckles been able to stay healthy, it probably doesn't happen. People will call it whining, but Pitino always called him one of those "quiet leaders" and guys who was an influence even when not on the court. Then, all of the sudden, it "was in the best interest of both sides to move on."

I think Buckles took it in stride, but lets be real. UL had to make room as at one point last summer, they had 15 scholarships committed.

Jared Swopshire, graduate transfer to Northwestern
Rakeem Buckles, transfer to FIU

Both Harrell (2012) and Ware (2011) were very, very late commits who became available after being committed to other schools. UL needed a quick and unexpected scholarship. I'm not hating on it either, but it happens everywhere. Scholarships, by rule, are 1-year contracts...as they should be.

Agreed. Tarian Blue (ex Hofstra, and ex Penn State player) is transferring as well.

yeah im only alright with them not having to sit out if they have legitimate reasons. Ziegler's reason last year was because his daddy got fired. This year, I'd guess his reason is to be closer to daddy.

Anyone hear anything about Otto Porter? If he comes back, you have to throw Georgetown into the hat for early national title contenders (LOL). But on paper, you definitely do.

Hairston from Carolina coming back, according to Jeff Goodman. Per Goodman, the decision is still out on McAdoo and Bullock. With the class coming in next year, I think Hairston is making a mistake, but maybe he'll stick around all four years.

Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller set to announce tomorrow. I imagine the road ends here for Oladipo; Zeller probably comes back to try to avenge his under-par season, at least relative to the expectations he faced heading into the year.

I wouldn't be surprised by that outcome, either. I think that Zeller's draft stock will never be higher than it is now -- as a projected lottery. And he's borderline lottery this year. Next year, if the talent pool is as good as advertised, he might be closer to mid to late first round.

Hairston's mom already refuted that report. Goodman's source may be good, but it isn't official yet.

They're waiting on all three to finish the decision-making process before they make an official announcement. Hairston isn't a guaranteed lottery pick, and might not even be a guaranteed first-rounder. He played extremely well the second half of last season, and I would imagine he'll only get better.

What I meant by Hairston making a mistake is that I think next year's draft may be so strong that Hairston won't move up any spots even with a really good season. This might be his only shot at the lottery, unless he comes back as a senior and enters the 2015 draft. Just my take.

And he's coming back. Goodman is generally spot on, even if it's unofficial. Hairston will be back, and I expect the others will be too. Unless, again, they think this is their best year to make the leap in light of the monster draft in 2014.

I won't believe anything about any of the Carolina guys until it's coming out of their mouths.

There were reports last year that Henson, Marshall and Barnes were coming back too.

I'm beginning to think that Wiggins is a UNC lean. Based on comments from Wiggins and his high school coach that he isn't a fan of the constant hoopla surrounding him, unlike certain other big-time recruits who believe they are taking part in a stage production, I don't believe he is dragging his recruitment along simply because he enjoys charades.

I think Wiggins is waiting to see if the three kids from Carolina go pro. If they leave North Carolina, he'll go to Kentucky where he'll have a realistic chance to win a title. At least that's my guess.

Patric Young to return for Florida. A massive underachiever, thus far, imo, but a huge boost nonetheless for the Gators going into next season.
